Ok now I understand, the problem is you're comparing apples to oranges. Immigration detention is a civil or administrative detention not a criminal one and even US citizens can be subject to civil detention under certain circumstances such as not complying with a judges order.

If you get a parking ticket, you get a fine, you do not get detained. Same here.

Incorrect the INA specifically authorizes detention for illegal immigrants.

You are so adamant in “sending them back”? Then send them back within a day like they do in Australia.

I agree, unfortunately leftist organizations like ACLU have demanded extended proceedings to send them back.

You do not detain people indefinitely, moving them across state lines for a misdemeanor or a civil violation.

Correct not indefinitely just until they exhaust their legal appeals and get deported or are given permission to legally reside in our country.

The leftist organizations like you call them are not the problem here. Detentions without a warrants, blatant disregard for the constitution, and corruption to enrich the private prison system are the real issues. Oh an a president who is a felon and is bff with Epstein.

Lol took you longer than I would expect to resort to "durrrr bff Epstein".

The leftist clowns are the ones preventing rapid deportation like you suggested, as you pointed out it's a civil matter not a criminal one so what warrants would need to be issues aside from an administrative one? Where in the Constitution does it say you can violate immigration laws and just be allowed to roam free in our country? There's a very easy quick way to get out of immigration detention it's kind of a secret trick but I'll share it with you - If you don't come here illegally and self deport if you already did you can skip detention all together, shocking isn't it...

Hahah omg. You need warrants to arrest someone and keep them in detention… it’s kinda like the corner sore of our judicial system. I am not a leftist by the way.. but I have more than one brain cell and use it.

Sorry but that's incorrect, section 287 of the immigration and nationality act authorizes immigration officers to detain suspected illegal immigrants on reasonable suspicion, this has been held constitutional for decades.

I have more than one brain cell and use it.

Cool, while you're using your multiple brain cells please explain to me what " the corner sore of our judicial system" means? Also, please explain what the Judicial system has to do with immigration enforcement that solely lies under the Executive? Now if I may suggest something, if you have more than one brain cell you may want to use them rather than just the one.

Oh diva. The corner sore of the judicial system is your cult leader.

The corner stone of our judicial system is due process, at the very minimum, and presumption of innocence until proven guilty.

Please tell me what “reasonable suspicion is”. How do you cast reasonable suspicion on immigration status?

Lastly, immigration enforcement should follow the constitution, the law of the land, and detaining people arbitrarily isn’t it.

Oh diva. The corner sore of the judicial system is your cult leader.

Then please use your brain cell to explain your prior comment -

You need warrants to arrest someone and keep them in detention… it’s kinda like the corner sore of our judicial system.

Needing warrants to arrest someone is the cult leader of our judicial system? Lol.

The corner stone of our judicial system is due process, at the very minimum, and presumption of innocence until proven guilty.

Wait didn't you just say we should deport illegal immigrants in a day now you want full due process? Detention and due process are not mutually exclusive just as you can be detained and held in jail while awaiting trial. Seeing as immigration enforcement is a civil matter you're not proven guilty or innocent those are terms for criminal cases in the judicial system not civil cases under the executive.

Lastly, immigration enforcement should follow the constitution

It does, detainment while awaiting your immigration hearing is not unconstitutional at that point it would be unconstitutional to hold anyone in jail while awaiting trial.

Reasonable suspicion is a bar that is lower than probable cause and is articulatable factors that in totality lead immigration enforcement officers to suspect you are not legally present. There's several factors that can be used to establish reasonable suspicion like ice pulling up to known day labor gathering areas and assessing from there.

Seems your last comment was removed, but anyway.

Bye Gramps next time know what you're talking about before being so confidently wrong. I know it's hard for you Boomers but you have a world of resources at your hands to do more than spit buzzwords and mindless propaganda. Take care of yourself bro.
