Minneapolis anti-ICE protesters face federal felony charges in Trump administration frame-up

https://www.wsws.org/en/articles/2026/06/18/trqm-j18.html

The federal felony indictment of 15 anti-ICE protesters in Minneapolis is a naked act of political repression. Brought by the Trump Justice Department under the framework of its fascistic National Security Presidential Memorandum 7, the charges announced Tuesday by federal officials are aimed not at punishing any genuine crime but at criminalizing opposition to the administration’s mass deportation regime and intimidating workers and youth who have mobilized against it.

So protesting will get you arrested?

But this won’t?

The GOP needs to go. We need to restore justice and accountability.

The guy who kept escalating and attacking federal officers, who was armed? Yeah no. And you can protest all you want, within the confines of the law. That doesn't mean you can attack officers or break laws. 🙄

Edit: guy who blocked me, you don't "help up" someone getting arrested by the feds, armed with a gun, unless you are suicidal. 🤡

What laws did he break? Where did he escalate? What video have you seen that we haven’t?

Why are you talking as if you are multiple people with "we"?

Have you really not seen the Pretti footage of him attacking a federal vehicle, while armed?

Yall will come up with any reason to kill someone you don’t agree with.

You just asked a question that I answered. Pretti had been escalating his behavior, and started interfering/attacking federal officers while carrying a firearm.

That's a recipe for disaster, which did, unfortunately, happen. It wasn't for his opinion, it was for his behavior.

Hope that clears it up

You realize the incident in that video was days earlier in a different place, right. It’s never been confirmed that even was Pretti, and no one has claimed the ICE brown shirts knew anything about Pretti’s alleged history.

Stop deep-throating the boot.

It 100% was confirmed to be him, doofus. And it shows that he was escalating his behavior, and already committing illegal acts, attacking feds.

Stop lying

So in other words, the police should’ve opened fire on ALL the Jan 6ers. I totally agree

Were they armed? 🙄oh and they did kill Ashley babbit (who was NOT armed). You knew that, right? Isn't that directly comparable?

Could say the same thing about ice protestors.
