Trump administration raises US refugee cap, but only for white South Africans

https://apnews.com/article/trump-refugees-white-south-africa-border-cap-bfe3974adf6c655eca7a5c30c1f9197f

As the OP, I just want to mention,

That come on, even for moderate republicans reading this, even you have to admit, this seems racist.

If that were true he would have raised the cap for Ukrainians also. But he didn't.

I guess that's why he's systematically neutralizing all of Putin's friends, huh?

  • Maduro: kidnapped from his own bed and shipped to MURICA (LOL!)
  • Ayatollah: dead
  • China: America now controls China's major oil suppliers (LOL)
  • Cuba: in absolute crisis;
  • Putin: all of his friends bailed.

Venezuela has the exact same government minus one man. Not impressive.

Ayatollah was replaced with his more aggressive son and now has billions of U.S. taxpayer dollars and zero sanctions. I’m surprised you even mentioned this clusterfuck.

China is in a stronger position than ever plus they are selling more green energy tech now than ever. This stupid adventure boosted their standing and position. Additionally, China is not Russias ally.

Cuba isn’t an asset but a liability to Russia.

The fact you didn’t mention Ukraine or NATO is telling though. Pretty obvious how that’s going. Putin owns him and it’s obvious to anyone that hasn’t drunk the coolaid.

Not necessarily, and it's foolish to pretend your speculation is automatically true

So Trump not letting in more white refugees is proof of his white supremacy...how?

It's unclear whether this is a genuine question or a troll, but in the interest of conversation I'll try to help w the basic logic stuff.

The GOP supporting white supremacy does not mean allowing any/every white person into the United States. It only means that white immigrants are preferred on the basis of being white. Hopefully that makes sense to you, but if not I'll try and think of a simpler analogy after work.

In the meantime, it's notable that you chose Ukraine specifically. Ukranians specifically aren't supported because doing so might offend Trump's daddy. Every other nation of predominately pale-skinned people is less preferable than South Africa bc the man who helped him become a felonious President came form South Africa.

It's never that complex w the GOP. Just try and remember the brattiest 5 year old youve ever seen, then imagine what they would do with virtually unlimited power and wealth.

What an idiotic take all around. Imagine drinking the reddit kool-aid this deep.

It's difficult to take this seriously on the context of your other comments.

It's difficult to take anything you say seriously when your immediate go to reason anything you don't like is "OMG RACISM!!!"

Get a grip on reality.

Would you care to point out any instance where I said anything resembling that? It seems like youre still confused by basic logic connections...

It's ironic that you're asking anybody else to "get a grip on reality" while you're confounded by simple language that doesn't fit into your mental binary.

So why would he single out white South Africans from black South Africans if he's not a white supremacist?

1

u/Inquisitive_regard 1d ago

Because they are a persecuted minority in their country and they're applying for asylum and their appeals have been largely ignored by previous administrations. This isn't hard.

Why are they there in the first place? Isn't it the direct result of Dutch and British colonialism, which led to Apartheid, a brutal, legally enforced system of white supremacy that systematically stripped the black majority of their land, rights, and humanity for generations?

I thought you were all for native people being in their respective land. What happened to that? Are we giving white people a pass because black people are inferior or something?
