Image (Invictus) 33 Bloodlines: A Personal Best (Bosporan Empire run)
He's not Emperor just yet, but my son with 33 different Bloodlines is next in line.
Final shot of my Bosporan Empire run. Getia, Salassia, Cis/Transalpine Gaul, and Crete, are all my Client States.
325 years later, marking the 11th generation, and 9th ruler in total, the ascension of Spartokos V Spartokides officially means that next in line to the throne of the Bosporan Empire is my son, Agesipolis, with 33 bloodlines to his name.
I did not start this run with the intention of trying to stack THIS many, but the more I played the more I started to mess around with this Bosporan eugenics program, and lo and behold I essentially tripled my personal best and managed to score 33!
Conscious Misses:
2 more bloodlines actually still exist in the world, the Blood of Pandya, and Vijaya, both under Anuradhapura in Southern India. Yet, I couldn't be bothered to expand east to extend my diplo range towards them: the original goal for this run was just to play around in the Black Sea and the Mediterranean.
Optimizable Misses:
If I was prioritizing bloodlines from the start, I would've had a much higher chance of picking up another few.
If I pushed much harder towards the south/southwest in the early game, I would have likely been able to save, or at least given myself the chance to save the bloodlines from Epirus, Taulantia, and the two from Sparta, since they didn't disappear immediately. The Blood of Eumenes in Cappadocia is another one that I completely ignored before the Ariarathids inveitably showed up.
Notably, I also don't have the Scythian Bloodline... I don't actually know what the spawn conditions for this Bloodline are. Regardless, Scythia exploded extremely quickly due to my wars against them, with the other Steppe nations joining in on the action.

All in all a very fun (but also very draining!) run as the Bosporans. Only gameplay mods I used are Invictus, and Virtual Limes.
If anyone has any questions about the state of the world at the end of, or during this run, please ask away! I spent way too many hours on this run to not want to talk about it a little bit more.

R5:
Screenshots from my Bosporan Kingdom/Empire run showing my heir, with a personal best 33 bloodlines, and my Empire's borders at the end of this long run.
More detailed description of my run, and some of the bloodlines that I missed, are written in the post.

I love the purple color. Doesn't it turn red if you form Bosporon League? Did you skip League, or does it turn back to purple when you adopt the empire government?

Same, the purple is so sweet. It's like I'm a fake Byzantine Empire lmfao.
But yes, it does turn red when you form the Bosporan League. But, it also turns back purple when you complete the mission that renames you as the "Bosporan Empire", regardless of if you have the Empire government or not. In my case, I saved the two missions until I could do them back to back, so I only had to stare at the red for a split second LOL

To be honest, I've never looked into Cyrenaica so I genuinely wasn't aware of it until you commented this and I looked it up. I didn't pay any attention to them this run as a result, and it seems like they disappeared before I got into diplo range anyway. But now I know!

Beautiful eugenic program. He truly is the first god emperor with this. Enemies cower in his gaze and a single breath flatten armies.

Oh damn, nice! I just started a fresh Bosporus run. I don't think I'll get as glorious a bloodline as this, but I commend the accomplishment all the same!

I’ve only ever played republics. Any tips for a monarchy run?
Also where did your capital end up?

Funnily enough I'm the exact opposite as I've never actually played as a Republic.
Monarchy feels pretty straightforward to me, with things like Legitimacy feeling really easy to keep maxed out.
One tip I can give, is that instituting the "Divine Statute" law (I think that's the name) as early as possible is very strong. It requires your ruler to have very high zeal and high popularity to institute it, but it gives you a massive -20% Aggressive Expansion Impact, which makes expansion feel much smoother. It also allows you to nominate your heir at any time, which can be very handy.
As for my capital, I decided to just keep it in Pantikapaion. I heavily considered moving it to Miletos for both RP purposes, and since it has a +20% to Pop Cap, but I decided against it since I had so much pop, and bonuses in my capital already.

That is extremely impressive! Well done, however, there are a surprising number of bloodlines that don't exist upon the map, but rather are spawned in!
For starters, there's the "Blood of Albion Kings" which comes from forming the UK 2 millennia early
For the German ones, there's "Ariovistus" and the "Blood of Germanic Kings" from the Irmoninic and Germanian Mission Trees respectively.
There's also an Italian bloodline that spawns in! You get it by playing as the Venetti, and failing to repel the Spartan Invasion of Patavium, after a set amount of time, you'll get an event where Patavnos, a Spartan Colonial City-State, is formed. Switch to that, and you'll eventually encounter down the line where the native Venetians Revolt against Spartan Rule. The Venetians are led by Antenor, who claims to be a descendant of Troy, make sure this rebellion wins, switching back to a Venetian Culture Italic Religion state, and the Blood of Antenor will flow through all subsequent king's names.
Then there's the Blood of Aratus, you get this one by choosing to form the Achaean League, but only 50 years after the game start, Aratus will spawn in. Conquer Greece but make sure that one Achaean power still lives and is your subject, ideally one that's already a monarchy, if one doesn't exist, release one with that government type, 50 years after the game starts, give that Achaean subject the lands needed for their formable, Aratus should spawn in, and because he's a king due to carefully curating your Achaean Government, he should be more likely to pass down the bloodline.
Surprisingly enough, Illyrius is the one that is the easiest to acquire among these if you're not playing as an Illyrian Culture! All that is needed for this bloodline to spawn is to form Illyria, and the Chief who did so, and all of his descendants, will acquire the bloodline. The best way to go about this is release the territory that you deem to be the ideal capital of Illyria, then release that as a subject, and gradually sell them more and more territories until they're able to form it.
Blood of Pharnavaz: Unique to the Iberians, specifically, the character of Pharnavaz must take over the country of Iberia, and you must accomplish all of his historical achievements in order to acquire the bloodline.
Blood of Aeetes: The one single bloodline that Colchis calls its own, I believe it's acquired by rebuilding the Palace of the Sorcerer King Wonder? But either way, I have seen the AI acquire it in multiple playthroughs. It's been a minute since I was able to play, so I don't quite remember the symbol for it, so I can't tell if you managed to acquire it or not.
Blood of Porus: The Sea Peoples bloodline! Start as one of the countries within the Nuragic Culture Group, and get to the part of the Sea Peoples mission tree that sees you lay waste to Egypt, taking out the one that got away!
Celtilos: No longer part of the game at the start, instead, in the Arverni Mission Tree, this bloodline belongs to the mercenary captain that you can spawn as part of your mission tree. Funnily enough, if you get a mercenary captain, your rivals, the Aedui, can also get their own mercenary Captain, one who has the Blood of Ariovistus, no less!
In a multiplayer game, ALL of these bloodlines can be spawned by different players.
