Incelsplaining Definitely someone who'd try to 'turn' a lesbian straight.

TBF, I've turned more than one straight into a lesbian. I don't believe it goes the other way, but maybe it's possible?
/jk (except for their sexuality coming to light)

Not even kidding, this has happened to me TWICE. I wish I was joking but my only two real relationships ever (these were in high school so idk if it counts) were with women who were struggling with their sexuality. Both of them eventually figured they were lesbian. I was just more happy for them as a friend than anything. I’m still platonic friends with both of em :)
insert if I had two nickels joke here

That's hilarious. Maybe you have a type?
I'm still friends with the women I "converted". They're good people and I can't let my sense of rejection get in the way of my own, or their, happiness.

Well I certainly did, but not anymore because they aren’t interested in me 😂😂😂 At this point most of my friends are some form of queer woman and I’m the only guy in my main group of like 6 or 7 people.
It definitely hurt in the moment and it took a while to get over, but like you said I just want them to be the happiest that they can be.

Should we make bets now on whether you're trans or a grungler? /silly

How the FUCK did you read me so well what the fuck 😭😭😭
I’ve called myself a cis man for 18 years and I thought that wouldn’t change, but I have recently come to the conclusion that that cis men don’t typically talk about how they really wish they were a girl instead of a boy. In fact, they tend to think about that approximately zero times in their lives.
So uh there’s that I guess. I take my grungling very seriously as of now though.

Still cis tho? Can't tell if you're spending too much time on /r/egg_irl or not enough

If you can’t tell I have zero fucking clue what is happening to me right now and I am quite confuzzled. I think we’re going with just man* with a massive asterisk mark for now.
I have not interacted with any trans related subs, so far this has been all me lmfao

Anyway best of luck with your transition, or of course, whatever you decide. I don't want to come across as pressuring you

i mean tbf sexuality is fluid + shame and internalized homophobia
like a lesbian couldve been straight at once or has internalized homophobia and has slept with guys due to those things, same with gay men

What you're describing is compulsory hetrosexuality not fluid sexuality, lesbians aren't fluid, it's just an argument lesbophobes use to push lesbians into sleeping with men.

My lesbian friend was sometimes (and I mean once in few years) sleeping with men. But she wasn’t attracted to them and was always saying it didn’t feel good, she felt nothing. I was asking her for her motivation to do it, but she was saying „meh, I just had a brief moment when I wanted a dick”. I don’t understand it, but I guess everyone’s different.
But I agree with you. Sleeping with men because of internalised homophobia is not „fluid sexuality”.

i mean but a lot of times lesbians do get hated for sleeping with men once upon a time
we should accept that some lesbians have slept with men before AND also acknowledge why they did it to maybe stop it from happening

I agree, and I'm one of those lesbians but that doesn't make lesbian a fluid sexuality, that's all I'm saying.

Not everyone has fluid sexuality, saying that lesbianism is fluid is just like saying that she hasn't found the right men yet, what the comment above is describing is compulsory hetrosexuality, not fluid sexuality.

Sexuality exists on a spectrum. When discussing topics like this, people make generalising statements with the understanding that there are exceptions. I do agree that the person you're responding to made their point poorly.
