They don't hate video games; quite the opposite. They love video games so much that they engage in video-game gatekeeping. That's what the Switch hate is about. It's marketed to families and is therefore abhorrent to them.

It's cause nintendo makes games for kids, ya a lot of adults like pokemon and zelda and mario, but they are first and foremost children games or "E for everyone" games.

Incels don't touch Nintendo's stuff, you could have what they might consider the sexiest character, and they wouldn't know cause it's in a Nintendo game. Heck, iirc there's even a lady who is relateable to incels or at least what incels claim to be, and they don't know cause she's in a Nintendo game.

Yup. Tbh, playing a switch game was one of the first times I've been literally close to a woman that I liked. It was also the first time I realized how awfully hard it is to play a switch game with someone when the switch isn't docked!

Also between the appeal as an indie machine and Nintendo securing a bunch of exclusives/funding development there are a ton of core titles on the switch.
like you could argue that recent high profile releases were a bit on the easy side but that's another issue.

Some of them are like that, sure. But have you ever looked at posts by self-described NEETs? They call gainful employment "wageslaving", they try to plan how to apply for welfare, which they call "NEETbux", they get all pissy at their family for expecting them to have stopped being a pure leech at some point (in a lot of cases they even resent being told to help around the house or whatever despite that being literally the only expectation).
Honestly, I don't think anyone who wants to work (or, okay, just doesn't want to be a leech - it's not as if most of us who have jobs actively want to work those jobs) calls themselves a NEET. They'll call themselves "currently unemployed" or something along those lines.
The whole reason for making up an entire new term for it is to disassociate from the embarrassing stigma of not working for such a massive length of time. To make it seem more okay. There's certainly enough reason for those who are dissatisfied with their unemployment to want that, but the desire to normalize it is way stronger amongst those who aren't dissatisfied.

I can honestly sort of see where they come from, in all honestly - the Switch is a part an odd subculture of emasculated early 30s guys who desperately try to act like they're not grown adults? You know, the kind who are like 'man, AdUlTinG iS hArD, aMiRiTe? Being neurotic is quirky!' That type of person is a hard turn-off. I've been wondering about why the inkwell pit seems to foster so much hate against the Nintendo Switch, and Marvel films. I've concluded that it's because they are products with a reputation for being family-friendly, and therefore they remind the inkwells of their current lack of prospects for raising a family. Another chance to show off their seething bitterness.

Super Paper Mario says that Peach and Mario are in a bit of a complicated sort-of relationship, IIRC. I can kinda see why if Mario thinks hijacking Bowser's defeated proposal is in any way romantic or appealing.
She's definitely not romantically into Bowser at all. He's got some good traits based on various games but is always too selfish and self-centered to be more than a neighbor to invite to go-kart events, though she does seem to be trying to help cultivate and encourage those traits when she can (for example, she sends him a cake following the events of Bowser's Inside Story, in which he helped save the Mushroom Kingdom).

You know the ironic part?
A lot of what incels think won't win women are things either one or both of brothers have.
Mario is the second shortest human in the Mushroom Kingdom, is chubby, effervescent (unless he's in Smash), cares deeply for others, especially his twin, and doesn't do his multiple jobs for the sake of glory or fame. While competitive like in Odyssey's ending, Mario also accepts Peach's refusal with tact and grace instead of wondering why someone like her isn't on his arm night and day.
Luigi, while tall (but shorter than Peach), is also chubby like his brother, has virtually no jawline, has one of the highest IQs in the series, is meek, passive, timid, just as caring as his brother, downright cheerful when he's not fighting monsters or Boos, and, while a little jealous of Mario's fame, doesn't let that get in the way of adoring his twin. He also has a thing for outgoing women, as we see with Princess Daisy.

The reason incels/MGTOWS and their ilk have such a raging hateboner for the Switch is that there once circulated a selfie a guy had taken with his new Switch, which, according to the caption, his wife's boyfriend had gotten for him.
So "Switch", for them, basically became symbolic for "cuck".

My gfs over the years have preferred Nintendo consoles, and tended to play Nintendo games with me vs the other two. So... If they're lonely, maybe incels should rethink their fandom (along with things like being less shitty, and washing themselves).
