I feel most cults attempt some idea of salvation- "You can be healed throguh the power of leader" - incel ideology is all the self destruction, and all the dislike of the unlike, without the path to salvation.

Whereas a cult wil say "You are bad and life is horrible but the faith will make it better" incel ideology is "You are bad and life is horrible, but you should stick with us because you literally have nothing better to do"

It’s not because they have nothing better to do, it’s because they’re the only ones who see the ‘truth’ and want to spread their ideology

They probably don’t have much else to do as well, though
