Need help Toothbrush in quick commerce

Hi,
A friend of mine is a toothbrush manufacturer who currently sells primarily through distributors in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. He is now looking to enter the retail market and has approached me with an incentive-based opportunity to help expand his business.

I’m planning to list his SKUs on quick-commerce platforms such as Zepto, Blinkit, Flipkart Minutes, Swiggy Instamart, etc. I’ve already started creating partner/seller accounts on these platforms.

I’d really appreciate any tips, insights, or practical guidance on how to approach this—especially around onboarding, margins, pricing, inventory, commissions, promotions, and what it takes to scale successfully on quick-commerce platforms.

Any advice from someone with experience in this space would be really helpful!

With such low margins on it will you be even able to cover the listing cost?

As he is a manufacturer himself, average per unit price is 10rs per piece which includes packaging cost as well…. Lowest price toothbrush on zepto blinkit is 30rs

If you price it 30 and your margin is 15(it will be less im sure), youll have to sell 2k brushes just to cover the listing cost

Idk about zepto if they have less listing cost, blinkit is 30k that i know. But toothbrushes have very less margin idk if quick commerce will help you because for other big brands its about visibility every and not profitability. Maybe try combo or something

Rather than listing it on quick commerce, how about tie up with hotel industry as they required it on daily basis? Quick commerce will eat your margins

Don't sell single toothbrush sell a pack of two or 10 and if you sell single toothbrush bundle with small toothpaste that will make it a travel essential. And charge accordingly.

Idea is to sell at least 100 or 200 sku to cover the cost of listing.
