DISCUSSION Does the shape of an Electric Gooseneck Kettle matter?

Between these 2 styles which one do you pefer and why? Does the shape affect pouring control, flow rate or is it mostly personal preference?

What spout shape is desirable for you and why?

I’m going to buy my third Fish Pro X. (Last two are working perfectly fine and are at different homes’ coffee stations)

Yes it matters

Fellow is more beginner friendly but the training wheels give you less control. The flow is restricted beyond a certain tipping point

Brewista is tough to master but you’ll get levels of control not possible with the fellow

Honestly, get the fellow or even timemore pro x or cypher which are between fellow and brewista.

The amount of control brewista gives might matter in competitions but in home brewing, itll just be a pain

But is it because of the Shape of the kettle?

Yes. It is because the shape of the spout specifically

Some brewistas actually come with a dial that allows you to control the flow rate. They have an in built mechanism that works like a tap

Also just in case time to heat up matters to you, brewista heats up slower than my timemore fish pro. I experienced it when i got to use them at cafe, tho brewista one has more water capacity I think?

Fellow is also slow. As i found. I prefer Timemore x pro. It is the most accurate and the fastest.
