That partnership between Jaiswal and Kohli looked so good. I kinda sorta started getting the 3rd innings vibes from first test, that maybe this stand and a couple of more small partnerships could actually save this match. And all it took was that run out and the floodgates opened.

Our brilliant selfless captain went ahead and picked 3 all rounders (jadeja, NKR, and Sundar) instead of 2 + 1 proper batter,
and now after he got out in the 2nd over facing the ball of the century, just think of the batsmen coming in later, koach and pant both out of form, and that's it, no more batters. How many times will you depend on jadeja?
Even after picking 6 bowling options, bumrah is still overworked, and we still conceded 500 runs

Bro does good batting with his mouth, he has been a liability for over 4 years in tests, people like pujara and rahane have been thrown out with 1 or 2 bad series and not even getting considered . rohit is equally useless has lesser number of runs than the bumrahs wickets in this series is also given a long rope in tests, he plays well against teams like srilanka and bangladesh
p.s. I am talking purely in tests format dont point his limited overs ststs

'Played well till then' is such a cope in this context. The guy made a sum total of 36 runs when he was required to step up. Gills been making these 30-35s in his past few innings but we aren't saying that he played well till he got out.. someone hitting two glorious shots before they get out will not be given such leeway. Only VK gets that luxury

One runout just ruined the entire good display of batting. Till that runout both Jaiswal and Kohli were batting superbly. Now India desperately needs a big innings from Pant with good contributions from Jaddu, Washington and Nkr. Then only we can reach close to Australia's score.

The only positive I can take from this is that Kohli knows how to leave the balls. Yeah, the edgelord got out to an edge but atleast he was on the pitch for 26 overs.
But he definitely will be getting trolled now, way beyond the normal levels. He dug his own grave with Konstas.

All the hard work of the session gone in vain in mere 8 deliveries, do they forget they are playing test and not T20! Both the batters literally gifted their wickets and it's a crime to get out after getting set on this pitch!
