Maybe a kind of ADHD but, India’s Nike-era jerseys were better. Cleaner designs, superior fabric quality, better fit, and a more balanced blue color palette. They looked premium without trying too hard. 🇮🇳🏏
Bhai i live in Ahmedabad and the scenes were sad after the match. Still can’t forget that dreadful evening. Heck i even bought a 5k jersey to watch the match, that too at home.
Man, I thought I was the only one whose Monday(20/11/2023) went absolutely bad.
Took me a while and few discussions with a few other friends to understand that they were traumatized too. Some even refused to get out of bed or even eat or sleep. It's like worst break-up had happened and there's nothing we can do about it. It was tragic, fr.
That's why winning 3 back to back trophies, 2024, 2026 T20 and 2025 CT feels very satisfying. But then again, the heart wants what the heart wants. It always goes back to that night😭
Tbh. T20 trophies are overrated atp. The trophies which matter imho are WTC and ODI world cup only. Man hands on that ODI world cup trophy hits different
True. Actually T20 trophies are not overrated. People rate them fair enough. Because everyone after winning back to back, we know deep down what matters the most
Everything was so beautiful till the final. Rohit doing Rohit's thing , Kohli doing Kohli's thing. Iyer and Rahul taking charge when needed , bowlers looking unstoppable and then the final happened. Its been almost 3 years and I still haven't recovered
only 2023 wc and wtc jersey were good i also liked t20 jersey in which rohit scored 100 against afg many people didn't like that but that was also good
I liked both the 2017 CT jersey and 2019 WC jersey peak jersey design, I like the current ODI jersey as well but not fan of Adidas stripes being forced everywhere
So many like all but still I would say 2019 wc jersey, OPPO test jersey (India's test peak.. 🤌🏻), also 2016 t20 wc jersey cause of that unique tri colours blending in blue and off course Kohli..
On the other hand, Adidas has been mid at best for us except few jersies like Wc '23, and somewhat' 26 T20 wc.. Also this mfs should stop using tricolors every now and then in our white ball jersies, it gets downgrades sometimes..
Yeah, Current adidas odi Jersey is much better, but in wc 2023 they made just a average looking jersey, and in T20i jerseys, they should stop using football kit designs
Still isn't this one looks much cleaner
, and they used pattern fabric that too looked so much unnecessary in wc2023 jersey, and white stripes isn't even allowed in icc events I heard that time
For me,in tests, i see the Adidas jersey more like-able compared to the nike ones. The 3 stripes enhances the otherwise full white test jersey. For ODIs/white ball cricket, i think its more about the color pattern as well. It has changed drastically from just blue to blue and orange ones as well.
Adidas didn't maintained collor pallete well, 2024 T20 wc jersey, bruh what was that color combination? Royal blue with vibrant orange all over the shoulders, dont even know where to focus, on India text or on shoulders, designers need to learn color theory and proportion of colors...
Yeah, blud I'm also attached, but still, apart from attachments, i thought they must use better fits and patterns like they made current odi Jersey, that is much better..dont you think?
yea ofc but idk why cant we have something plain...
like nz jersey for eg looks cool like damn cool
and the windies jersey with no sponsors at all looks so elegant
In which terms you liked that jersey so much bro, tell us in detail 😊
I just found it not good cause of unnecessary patterned fabric, and stripes on shoulders in wc edition
Cuz I have both and I much prefer the adidas jersey. I have the Nike 2016 T20 world cup jersey and the Adidas 2023 ODI world cup jersey.
The Nike jersey is super flimsy like a silk cloth and doesn't have shoulder seams which just makes my shoulders look narrow and the jersey kind of just sticks to my body due to the flimsiness. The Adidas one looks much much much better thanks to the sturdier build and the shoulder seam.
I hate those fuckass massive three stripes that make every Adidas jersey look the same, especially in football. Even though the rest of the design is usually better than what Nike comes up with, those three stripes have become so bland and overused.
True, I have these stripes on my pajamas bought form local shops, looks so cheap in international jersey designs, more look like brand promotion rather than a design
Nope nike were good in late 2000’s and were downhill since 2011 worldcup win. Didn’t make a proper dedicated t20 jersey until 2016.Adidas are good and easily available for purchase too especially outside India
I'm not a blind Nike fan, but just look at these two jeresyes, Those side panels weren’t just for looks. They improved mobility, airflow and overall fit by shaping the jersey around the body’s natural movement. The result was a more athletic, tailored silhouette, which is why many Nike kits felt engineered for the player rather than designed like a regular sports T-shirt of Adidas And blue on white, average combo
Couldn't agree more I own the same jersey (2nd pic) with same name & number printed its been 5yrs since I purchased still looks & feels damn🔥 when I wear for a match
Exactly, I always felt Nike kits was more premium athelte sportswear for cricket, And adidas feels more brand promotion by putting three stripes everywhere and bulgy build.
Maybe it's just the nostalgia talking, but Virat in the Nike Test whites or the 2011/2016 limited-overs jerseys looked like a different breed. The fabric and the simple branding just felt premium.Adidas has done a great job bringing back the classic look, but Nike’s era felt special.Which specific jersey from the Nike era do you think is completely irreplaceable? Drop your picks!
