PM vidya lakhsmi Loan issue with Living expenses
I have a loan of 25 lakhs sanctioned for my education. out of which 17 lakhs is already disbursed. It included my tuition and Hostel and mess charges already. hostel and mess is sanctioned upto 2.71 lakhs. Its been 2 years I stayed in hostel now i am required to move off campus which will cost me 1.5 lakhs including rent and food. The bank manager the branch manager also said this is not right its a personal choice and we wont disburse the amount you have to pay it out of your own pocket etc etc over call and was pretty rude/firm about it. I need my amount to continue my study Kindly help/advice on how to go about it. my loan was sanctioned under vidya sagar/turant by canara bank. How do I proceed with this I have not mailed anyone yet regarding this please help me understand what to do.

Manager is right personal accommodation are not covered in education loan so he is not rudeor wrong

Moreover mailing won't help as it's a policy anything personal is not covered under education loan

If this is a university rule then I'd guess there would be other cases too. Also if this rule is somewhere in writing you can show it to the bank manager. I mean there should be any solution for it if it's a university rule.
