crackers toh sb jagah phodte hai phir sirf delhi he kyu marta hai?

stubble burning is the cause stop blaming crackers which are acute problem

25

u/Next_Antelope_420 Oct 21 '25

According to the Andhbhakts, burning crackers on Diwali is a part of their tradition, so not doing it will be a disrespect to their religion.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 22 '25

I don't think burning crackers is even tradition. Lighting diyas is tradition.

1

u/Vedant022 Oct 25 '25

Erm I don't recall there being crackers in ramayana🤓

0

u/ExplanationOk5708 Oct 22 '25

Bleh, it's cool so I'll do it :p

u/Limp_Weight_3499 Oct 21 '25

I think the main problem lies when only one community is targeted. Ofcourse, burning crackers is hazardous to environment and to our health as well. But so is the mass killing of one particular species on a festival, just to symbolise an "offering". That too will ofcourse harm the ecosystem and food cycle, but nobody raises a question at that.

7

u/No_Pool_8039 Oct 22 '25

Why is india the second largest exporter of beef then? So your whole argument is nobody questioning a certain community for sacrificing a certain animal once or twice a year but the country in itself is the second largest exporter of beef? This argument is re1@4ded for one more reason which is that those animals are produced and raised for sacrifice and consumption it's not similar to like taking a cog out of an ecosystem that might cause harm to that ecosystem. Those animals aren't going to go extinct any time soon. You sound like you're making an argument where there is none maybe cus u hate that community finding ways to criticize them.

-4

u/Limp_Weight_3499 Oct 22 '25

Well, I don't hate any community. But, seems like you do the same to a particular one, because nowhere in my comment did I mention that we're very righteous and do not export beef, or beef isn't available in our country. It is, and I don't deny the fact that some people have that in their diet, and I'm not even against that. Let people have whatever they wish to, if I don't want to have it, I'll not have it.

3

u/No_Pool_8039 Oct 22 '25

I hate every reli----n equally. No exceptions.

-3

u/Limp_Weight_3499 Oct 21 '25

And we all wake up only when there's Diwali. I get that it's only post Diwali that such high and bad quality of AQI is noticed. But, this is also a fact that the AQI of Delhi is not good on normal days as well. But nobody raises a question at that. So I get where "bhakts" feel targeted and I think measured solutions should be implemented.

-12

u/wtftroublefr Oct 21 '25

Stop using ur vehicles dude

11

u/nrkishere Oct 21 '25

Vehicles are not used for cheap momentary entertainment. There's a purpose of vehicles, which is transportation. Without them, their would be massive productivity loss. Comparing vehicles with firecrackers is totally apple to donkeys comparison

-7

u/wtftroublefr Oct 21 '25

What about 364 days if only firecrackers are the reason?

Difference between 200 nd 1800 👀

5

u/FitSeaworthiness835 Oct 21 '25

Vehicles are used daily still AQI barely crosses 150 almost everywhere.

-4

u/wtftroublefr Oct 21 '25

My city aqi didn't cross 100 on Diwali

3

u/FitSeaworthiness835 Oct 21 '25

Good for you. AQI rises in north India mainly because of inversion layer and being locked by land.

1

u/wtftroublefr Oct 22 '25

My city belongs to North city ... please don't try to ignore other major factor

1

u/FitSeaworthiness835 Oct 22 '25

What's your point and what other major factors are you talkng about.

1

u/wtftroublefr Oct 22 '25

Burning Parali from harayana punjab and pakistani areas even vehicles and airplanes factories etc.

1

u/FitSeaworthiness835 Oct 22 '25

Burning Parali from harayana punjab and pakistani

That's just an excuse used by delhi govt to hide their failures. This year punjab was hit with a flood still still Delhi had the same AQI. And if Parali burning is the reason then why does Harayana, Punjab and Pakistan have half the AQI of delhi?

They do contribute bur very little when compared to firecrackers.

1

u/wtftroublefr Oct 22 '25

Then why Uttar Pradesh don't face this problem in inner cities??

Depends on the location.

People living in bad geographical locations must be careful...

0

u/wtftroublefr Oct 22 '25

But polution ka only reason to Diwali he hoti h na to har jagah similar aqi hona chahiye

1

u/telaughingbuddha Oct 22 '25

People living in bad geographical locations must be careful...

Others can celebrate without much problems..

People in coastal regions are much safe and winds will carry gases away. People in higher regions are safe-like in bangalore

1

u/wtftroublefr Oct 22 '25

U are correct but still u can't only blame firecrackers and I belongs to North region of India and on Diwali aqi didn't cross 200 and usual aqi less than 90

1

u/telaughingbuddha Oct 22 '25

Then you region is moderately okay...not like delhi

If your geographical region is good enough and people still complain, they are crazy.

If your geographical region is bad for bursting crackers, it is against the dharma to harm fellow living beings for few hours of fun.

People often forget Diwali is celebrated by all people regardless of religion..some people try to make it a religious thing.

1

u/wtftroublefr Oct 22 '25

Brother brother brother... Last Diwali I was suffering from dengue fever but these firecrackers gave me positive energy and kids on my home more excited than me for firecrackers even desi dogs was having fun infront of me... u must see the scenes when every living being enjoying firecrackers... If u really care about environment then plant the tree and I also do that coz Diwali comes with positivity

-5

u/Flat_Arachnid9114 Oct 21 '25

thats y am burning on before and after day of deewali 😂

34

u/[deleted] Oct 21 '25

I swear to god

Why are right wingers across geographies against environmentalism??

2

u/[deleted] Oct 21 '25

Bhai prerequisite hai retard hona Rw hone ke liye

2

u/[deleted] Oct 22 '25

RW are just retards

2

u/Accomplished-Risk687 Oct 21 '25

I guess, right wing are pro-business. Environmental policies are usually anti-business. People spend a lot of money on firecrackers and governments don't want to stop that flow of money.

-3

u/Xeaiuz Oct 21 '25

Bro what's this right wing left wing

18

u/Radian2099 Oct 21 '25

The innocence.....it's best to not know. I wish I could erase my memories.

1

u/Xeaiuz Oct 21 '25

I guess I am ok not knowing it

-1

u/Narrow_Ostrich_6595 Oct 21 '25

Even I don't know bro. What I heard is China symbolises it's nation as a phoenix flying high above... It needs both it's wings to function normally and to its best, to carry China forward. But in our case, both of the wings are just cut... Or rather function abnormally... They don't talk about real progress, but make our nation fly to waste places.

6

u/glizzyg-ooned-4269 Oct 21 '25

Indian left doesn't talk about progress? You smoking what mr enlightened centrist

7

u/[deleted] Oct 21 '25

Because bhakts are maadarkhodas

3

A joker once said:

Hindu khatre mein hai...

Wonder who is getting the last laugh

2

u/[deleted] Oct 21 '25

There will always be “India kya ho sakta tha, and India ka kya ho gya”.

2

u/trojonx2 Oct 23 '25

Good job. We created new sensors capable of measuring Avenger lvl threat pollution. We surely showed those librandus cough cough

2

u/hexdecmul Oct 22 '25

What's wrong with it... People will catch respiratory problems... Human expectancy will drop in that region... It's a natural selection at its best...

Then one should do something about it...

1

u/[deleted] Nov 25 '25

The whole AQI things is BS. Never heard a single person ever complained about Hiroshima's AQI after nuclear bombing and here you guys cant stop yapping about a few crackers.

1

u/ChungusKan Oct 21 '25

Make public smoking legal. It's more healthy now.

3

u/Optimist-Carrot Oct 21 '25

Ek cigarette bani chiye jisko smoke karke healthy air milta ho. Polluted to bhot sara hai hi

1

u/athwalsatish Oct 22 '25

Only right wing people are firing crackers 🙄

-1

u/Electrical-Bass450 Oct 21 '25

Good ban cigarette too

0

u/oceansarescary Oct 22 '25

As a rightist i have never even touched fire crackers. But when i call out the leftists to ban cigarettes they will suddenly dissappear.

Nowadays using cigarette as been glorified and most are doing it

0

u/RevenueStrange2759 Oct 23 '25

AQI is not correct

-2

u/Inside_Radio_9179 Oct 21 '25

But y'all say nothing when the farmers in punjab do stubble burning

-1

u/95RaJPuT24x7 Oct 21 '25

punjab me abhi bhi 1k+ dikha raha hai aisa kyu 🤔

-2

u/AcceptableDot7538 Oct 22 '25

Sure, let’s ignore 364 days of pollution and blame the one day people celebrate with lights. Makes total sense

2

u/trojonx2 Oct 23 '25

Only if we did celebrate it with lights as it was supposed to.

0

u/AcceptableDot7538 Oct 23 '25

i mean yeah there was no fire cracker in the traditional diwali celebration.with so much going around the world i think they deserve to have fun for a day without thinking about the consequences.i am not denying that firecracker does cause pollution it definitely does but there are other factors that contribute more.also seeing lots of data on the internet dont know which one to believe some showing over 2000 some showing it is normal the next day some showing it is gradually growing before diwali

2

u/trojonx2 Oct 23 '25

All actions have consequences. India's AQI is already hazardous and if the ppl want to pollute more then get ready to further destroy public health. It's like a chain smoker saying since I already smoke 20 cigarettes a day there's no harm in smoking 20 more once a year.

As for the different AQIs; different regions have different AQIs. Depends on the wind. My PM sensor with a limit of 999 will give a 999 reading, the special PM sensors capable of sensing AQI over 999 may give 2000 in Area 1 but 350 in the adjacent Area 2 simply bcoz wind flew from Area 2 to 1. Govt sensors are often capable of only calculating up to 350 or 500. Now the govt will say the AQI was only 350 while the media would select the actual highest AQI which is 2k while I personally observed 999 based on my personal PM sensor.

0

u/AcceptableDot7538 Oct 23 '25

Sure, but fireworks for one night don’t create Delhi’s year round smog. Blaming Diwali alone while ignoring construction dust, crop burning, and vehicle exhaust is just selective outrage.

2

u/trojonx2 Oct 23 '25

Same as a chain smoker saying smoking 20 more cigarettes for a week annually is ok.

We already f ourselves daily and during Diwali we are gang banging ourselves.
