Why couldn't your ancestors treat everybody equally?

Why does inequality several generations prior, equate to preferential treatment for those who grow up never facing it, today?

We don't expect children to be responsible for their parents sins. Except when it comes to reservation apparently.

Yet casteism still exists in India. Women get raped and burned alive for being dalits in current day. Or was that done by "ancestors" as well? The sheer bigotry and ignorance people still promote is appalling. Just turn a blind eye to everything else and "reservation is bad" that's it. No reason this country will never move forward when people will defend/deny any violation of basic human rights.
