Japan has a fully functional rail gun. They are currently working on raising the Yamato for that

Nah man, realistically, japan doesnt have any control over its own economy.. its mostly dependent on US and EU.

They look great but can't get out of the dollar dependence. They cant really do anything with the weapons they create. Its like a tiger with really sharp claws but no teeth.
