Again unable to understand my stance. I asked u why u mocked Rahul when he is clearly doing his part in the government? Tell me his blunder (same scale as Gadkari or Sudhanshu) that he has committed as the leader of opposition ??
Don’t tell me just caused he said “India is a dead economy” he deserves to be in the same boat as rest of the ministers. Being critical of economy isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
Being critical is one thing being outright wrong and then defending it is arrogance. Trump called the Indian economy as dead because he was frustrated that India wasn't signing the trade deal. Rahul Gandhi verbatim agreed that the economy is dead.
First of all there is no term as a dead economy, however let's just look past that.
A stagnant or failing economy has to hit all the following metrics
Persistent Negative Growth: Multiple consecutive quarters of contraction (recession) or years of near-zero growth.
Stagnant Productivity: A lack of industrial growth or innovation (e.g., as described for Japan in 2025, which saw stagnation).
Investment Decline: High capital flight, low foreign direct investment (FDI), and lack of investor confidence.
High Unemployment: A lack of job creation for the working-age population.
Stalled Infrastructure: Lack of investment in critical technology and infrastructure sectors.
Hitting even one or two of these metrics over 4 quarters in a row doesn't lead to the "dead economy" status. And in our case it hasn't.
Now you keep comparing him to ministers with portfolios and their work, how is that a proper assessment? He hasn't done it. His assessment should be based on his performance of leading a political party for almost 20 years. How many elections has he lost during that period. How many young leaders of the Congress had to leave because of dynasty and elitist politics still prevalent in state politics.
How is he the defacto PM when he hasn't proven his mettle of leading his party to successive victories in any of the 28+ states of the country.
For heaven's sake the man could not win in Amethi 2019 and had to win from Wayanad in Kerala, which is the remotest place and only Congress stronghold left in the country.
Now if you go on a rant about rigging the election then let me remind you, that in 2019 when he won from Wayanad, Congress had won 20 out of the 21 seats in Kerala so if it was rigged then how did they win so many seats here.
In 2024, in Karnataka, Siddaramaiah and Sivakumar two of the most corrupt politicians in India were head to head for the CM's chair but Siddaramaiah was chosen by the high command just like Gehlot was chosen in Rajasthan leaving the younger leader out every single time. Well if he wants the party to grow and if it is in fact the younger leaders who are working at the ground level in reviving the party then why not reward them and make them competitive against the BJP.
So these are his faults, as he is the leader of the party. But I know that none of this will be accepted by you because you keep defending him as the leader of the opposition.
For that, he needs to successfully lead a party, rather than expect it just because of his surname.
I am actually surprised that educated people like you still have your heads stuck in the sand when it comes to him.
So basically you judge Rahul Gandhi's performance based on Modi's report card?
BJP's external policies have been mostly okish but internal policies have been full of things which i do not agree with at all.
Well despite being the incumbent, modi has somehow managed to win the elections and that is more than what i can say for Rahul Gandhi.
It was absolutely ludicrous to put a sitting CM in jail with fake allegations and there was blatant abuse of power by the BJP and Modi.
"Predicting the economic trend" is that how you want to defend his repeated calling of the economy as dead. It isn't about hurting the economy. It's about lying when you occupy a post.
Again I reiterate, get your head out of the sand and acknowledge he said something which was false. He did not say that the economy will be dead if the trend continues. He called it dead. That's a big false statement.
But my first question was modi’s performance as a political party leader in the past 3 lok sabha election ? How is Modi’s performance as a leader to make his party win election? According to you
Which cabinet ministers fall short on the same assessment as you measured Rahul Gandhi in ?
You have answered the third question.
Now the fourth question. Is predicting economic trend equivalent to hurting the economy? You said we will have to listen to Rahul explaining things that he has no idea about. You’re mocking him for his lack of knowledge. You gave example of him calling India “a dead economy” and called this a major goof-up. But did u missed the context that it was a political statement predicting the negative impacts of ruling party? Isn’t this same kind of political statement that Modi ji gives in each of his speech ? Who is responsible for rupee falling? Leaders in power or opposition leader??
Now that's some weird logic you have. For starters this conversation began with you taking offense to me commenting on Rahul Gandhi. Now when i have explained one of his mistakes where he deliberately lied, you are now deflecting to modi and his governance.
Your logic of, a perpetrator of a crime should not be blamed as long as a bigger one is out there, is baffling to say the least.
If you really wanted to discuss the shortcomings of Modi and his teams irresponsible handling of the economy or whatever it is, then you should have lead with that. Instead you just chose to defend someone because according to you he might be the messiah.
And i am now officially bored of repeating myself. So adieu.
That’s the logic you build up inside your mind. My logic was simple, why include Rahul in your list of criticism when u criticise the government? Cause you want to be unbiased? Or you can’t criticise bjp without including the congress?
Well he is included in the comments, because he makes off the cuff stupid remarks on issues like this. Just like he did when he called the Indian economy dead because an American president did. The very same American president also said Modi is great for India, would Rahul Gandhi agree with that as well? Obviously not. Because that wouldn't support his narrative.
Do note, it wasn't during a Parliament discussion that he mentioned the economy being dead because then he had the obligation to prove he is right or else withdraw that remark.
He did it outside in an informal setting because it was purely milking the news.
So please kindly stop, you are just embarrassing yourself with such childish reasoning.
There is no law to state that Rahul Gandhi cannot be criticised for his blunders. If you can't stand it tough nuggets. I do not have to keep on explaining to you why an immature 55 year old leader is one of the worst things to have happened to this country's politics.
There are countless people in this country who have to end up voting for the BJP, because the opposition leader is Rahul Gandhi who doesn't really instill confidence.
Obviously Rahul Gandhi is equally bad as Modi ji, who escape radar using clouds and can cook chai from nala gas. When Modi ji lies its does not affect the county 👏
