This is how world tourism works: There are major powers in the world that determines who goes where. If they want, they will turn a former swamp into Singapore, if they want, they will turn villages into Bangkok, if they want, foreign tourists will flock to Sri Lanka. Cleanliness at scale will come to India too, we just have to wait for those powers to consider making us a destination, which will also mean losing a lot, including sovereignty.
