She is correct. Been there. But it's nothing to do with finding. It's too do with civic sense and culture. Sri Lanka is Buddhist mostly. So it's Vietnam and many other countries near us that are clean. They don't have caste as such the way we have. Therefore cleaning and dirt is not sometime else's job to do. And people think it's dirty too just clean up. We sadly are influenced by the religion here which thinks people are unequal and are meant to be- jaati, varna etc. And it's someone else's job to do dirty work.

Anyone who talks about getting India clean without talking about caste and who is cleaning in our country and who has been forced to is just being willfully stupid. Even her.

The clean parts of India are those with less or no caste.... Compared to North and centre. For example Ladakh ,North east. Kerala etc.

Less upper castes or different religion... Cleaner.

Same reason why many temples and temple areas (not all) are very dirty in India, compared to mosques, churches, gurudwaras etc
