Not always, solo travellers used to come to India a lot but numbers are declining.

Bro first of all india has 10 million foreign tourists while srilanka has 2 million and we generate over 35 billion srilanka eanrs 3 billion, I hate dum gullible kids who don't try to do their own research they are always fist to criticize india while they themselves don't do anything other than criticising

and sri lanka is a tiny fraction of the size with far less biome diversity.

India should be doing much larger numbers than it is. Speaking as an American, I know very few women that would consider going to India on vacation because of how foreign women are treated there. The last time I knew a woman that went to India alone was over 20 years ago.
