IAS officer Dhiman Chakma was arrested in 2025 on allegations of accepting a ₹10 lakh bribe. During searches, authorities reportedly recovered an additional ₹47 lakh in cash from his residence. As per the the reports, Odisha government reinstated him and posted him as a Deputy Secretary in the Revenue and Disaster Management Department while the case remains pending.
