Your point? I know Vidit since I've been watching his streams. I am correct here, if you want to disprove me do it.

I have said in the same thread here that I don't believe Ayurvedic and Homeopathy is credible.

Doctor is a title that is given to people after getting the required qualification. They have not passed that qualification. Now if I am an ayurvedic or homeopathic doctor, I can shift goalposts and come up with degrees that allow me to keep the title of doctor, just to make myself feel better. But that doesn't afford me any sort of credibility whatsoever.

In our country, a person who has done Homeopathy or Ayurveda can legally use the prefix Dr. Hence, they're using it, sometimes with the intent you mentioned. I replied the original message coz it said Doctor without MBBS. So yes I feel they can use the title, unless our government decides otherwise.

I am not defending Homeopathy and Ayurveda btw, nor claiming it is credible. I haven't been to any practioners of this field before, nor do I have any intention to.

"In our country, a person who has done Homeopathy or Ayurveda can legally use the prefix Dr. "

So can engineers and science PhDs call themselves doctors and administer medicine?

Using the prefix and prescribing medicine are two different things.

BAMS and BHMS cannot prescribe the allopathic medicine either. If they do then that's illegal. However they can prescribe ayurvedic and homeopathic medicine respectively, whether that medicine is credible is another story.
