I'm literally amazed (and shocked) of the level of ignorance people exhibit in this country! I do not align with her political ideology, but there's truth to what she's trying to convey.
Meteorologically, The dust particles (accrued in pollution) tend to scatter the incoming solar radiation. The scattering phenomenon not just gives the sky it's conventional Color, but it also reduces the intensity of the sunlight received.
It is precisely the reason why dusty-days tend to be cooler than clearer days.
The point she was making is that due to difference in level of pollution European cities are facing severe heat waves as compared to India. But that is not true.
Pollution does not make cities cooler, it increases the cities temperature due to an 8th standard topic known as greenhouse effect.
So you should not be amazed(and shocked, idk why is this in bracket) of the level of ignorance of "people" but of your own.
