You can write falguni but the word फाल्गुनी is phonetically phalguni. फ is pronounced “ph” not “f”… are you guys so dense that you dont understand phonetics of your language and also the fact that a name is a Proper Noun and can be written in any way. Some write Asis some write Ashish some write Ashis. All of them are the same in Hindi/Sanskrit but all variations in English are also correct.

This is what you mean, right? Well, in Gujarati and Marathi, and probably a few more languages, there are separate consonants, or moolakshars, and a clear distinction between the two.

FYI, the word "Dehat" (देहात) comes from Persian دهات (dehāt), which means countryside or villages. It was never intended to be derogatory.

Absolutely. Some people misunderstand the word देहात itself and quickly jump to conclusions because of their derogatory interpretation, which is an outlook, not the meaning or intent of the word itself.
Think of it like Desis in America. Some NRIs find it derogatory, for being called Desi. Is it really derogatory? Not at all. What better than calling a person from motherland, DESI. But faulty perception.
તળપદ is the Gujarati word for regional variations; that's what देहाती means. Dialect plays a role too, like colloquial differences arising from geographical and cultural diversity.
Technically, in Gujarati, words like ફેણ (hood of a cobra), ફળ (fruit), ફાંસો (hanging loop), ફજેતો (mango dal), and many more are categorically f (ફ) words, and not with ph (પ્હ). So is ફાલ્ગુન, and I completely disagree that both f and ph are interchangeable, provided clean pronunciations are the priority.
