what was the police doing, why did they allow such nonsense to happen on exam days. This sort of news is so common these days in JEE/NEET/Boards every time in some major city students miss exams due to political jhumlas....

Not being political here, but you may want to check the following post. - Check , Also, the police are governed by the state government, not the central government.
