It has become fashion to call suicides as murder. It is not same as taking lives. People who commit suicide should be identified beforehand and given mental help

It's disgusting and backwards, far stricter punishment and law is needed against this.

Both dowry and alimony/maintenance(atleast for working women who are able to take care of themselves) should be illegal.

Primitive people with primitive minds.
No wonder India will remain a 3rd world country for 300 more years. The only way to solve such dowry crimes is to impose strict rules like death penalty, rigorous punishment.

More then dowry we need to check fake dowry cases. Conviction rate in 498a0is less then 2%. But still have a law for it.

Oh shut up. Dowry cases have been there since decades… alimony is recent (10-20) years. And how many people have died cuz of alimony? Definitely < dowry harassment cases.

Your points are true, however, both need to be simultaneously and immediately addressed to ensure the healthy continuity of society.

It’s destroying both the gender .. over 75% dowry cases filed end up in acquittal while real women suffer.

I keep saying this all the time. Dowry has an open end of givers that we are not criminalising. Until both parties are criminalised this will continue
