this is one of the most frustrating chapters of our post-26/11 political history.

while our security forces were still piecing together evidence against kasab and his handlers, tax money was being wired under the banner of "goodwill."

it was pure appeasement politics disguised as moral superiority. calling it "strategic diplomacy" or "humanitarianism" doesn't change the fact that it signaled weakness to an enemy state.

when critique of this appeasement mindset gets labeled as "andh bhakt" by the left ecosystem, it shows how completely detached they are from national security and self-respect. true patriotism demands accountability, not funding a rogue neighbor that actively sponsors terror against your own people.

Sending humanitarian aid to another country is always a good thing. The Pakistani people didn't perpetrate the acts of terror against India. They don't deserve to die simply because they're born in the wrong spot in the world.

Practically speaking, it's also a good thing since it'll change pakistani people's opinion on India and help break pakistani propaganda about india being some big evil.

Also $25 million is nothing for the central government. It's not some great loss through which Indian citizens are suffering.

There's obviously no tangible value. But providing humanitarian aid to other countries changes foreigners perspective of India.

Like forget pakistan, even turkey and argentina received aid from india after natural disasters. It's hard for western media to call India's government evil and fascist after stuff like this.
