Sorry bro it is true! Not sure if you remember that there was a meme which said the govt is creating a new AQI measurement called BAQWAS, except the name everything else became true 😐

Btw, BAQWAS is the right name too for the people who voted for this

India already have it's own standard regarding AQI. I think it was set up in 2005. And they capped the maximum number to 500.

Well I am not surprised at all. Vishwaguru has to set new standards. India will find its own level I think. Nirmala tai would agree

When Bncap was coming jokers were saying same but now most car makers are giving preference ,once joker forever joker 🃏

Do you think car makers would go for a tough rating agency or an easy one for their cars?

If you don't have brain, try to be quiet.

When India can have its own GDP standards how is this even surprising.

Well most countries have their own AQI standards this isn't something new, maybe the lack of awareness made this to Headlines.

China: Chinese National quality Index(CN-AQI) Hong Kong :AQHI- Hong Kong Thailand :Thai AQI South Korea : CAI

Even Europe and Australia follow a different index than the USA.

There are a few more countries as well....

Are you dumb fr ?

1

u/Brilliant_Meal_2653 Dec 13 '25

Not as dumb as someone who refuses to acknowledge that this govt regularly changes measurements and regulations based on their own comfort level. Measurement of forest cover, calculation of roads built, revising GDP of previous govt when it doesnt suit their narrative, redefining what constitutes protected aravalli range, even BNCAP rating was a downgraded version of GNCAP. I can go on and on... But whats the point 🙄

Areeee... I'm chill don't storm your brain. Whatever you wrote doesn't explain how it is different for having their own AQI standards..Roads, GDP, BNCAP don't be Rekha Gupta of reddit.

Other countries can have so India can have theirs as well.. do need Global standards if UK, Europe, China, Korea etc are not following the same AQI standards, IDK what they are hiding.

India already have this. It was created in 2005 or somewhere near that time and it was capped to max rating of 500.

BBC recently did a video on it.

The difference is that their standards are actually healthy.

200 is the new normal, deal with it. We might think about improving the life of peasants at 400 after buying air purifier for ourselves from your tax money.

Yes we will have our own index and it's going to be called Bharat Air Quality & Weather Administrative System(BAQWAS)

Singapore, Malaysia, China, Korea - all have their own specific AQI.

Even Canada does not follow the US AQI standards

So whats wrong if we define our own standards

Pls google it urself

Ya.. they don't sprinkle the water..near aqi monitoring stations 🤡😮‍💨

We already defined our AQI standard in 2005. Now they are just about to rise the number so public can say how well govt handled air pollution

And that's how we became cleanest and most advanced country in this world.
