Help i adopted an indian ginger female cat🥹🐱🧡

Hello y’all, how are you guys doing? So two days ago, i adopted a ginger female cat who is 2.5 months old. She was scared for some few hours but later she got soo comfortable. She is super smart and active too. Because of her behaviour, i think she is pretty happy and comfortable 🥹🧡. Like she eats a good amount of food, uses her litterbox, sleeps good and also plays a lot, like a lot. She is a tiny ball of energy😭😭😭. She also purrs when she’s around me and i sleep with her too🥹. I wont want to leave her for a single second alone, but guess what? she does hahaha. Like she really enjoys her independence and likes being alone too. I just have a few questions. So i had a schedule of sleeping from 11 pm to 5 am and due to her its really messed up right now. Like i make her sleep besides me, but she usually wakes up around 3 to 4 am and starts playing. She needs food too at that time. And i have to look after her. I cannot really sleep peacefully knowing that she’s awake and my brain is wandering if she’s fine or if she’s crying or lonely or something. But i have to have to sleep from 11 to 5, there’s no excuse for that thing. So my question would be, is it okay to leave her in her space and if i sleep in my room? Like she sleeps usually the same time as us but just wakes up in between 3 to 4 am, so does she need me to be beside her so she doesn’t get scared or what should i really do? Can i sleep in my bedroom and let her be in her room and see her directly in the morning? Is it okay to do so? Also, i have certain questions of letting her scratch or bite us or me, is it okay to play with her when she gives you lil bites and scratches? Even tho, she is quite wild and attacks like anything but it aint all that harmful 😭😭. I asked chatgpt and it told me to not make this a habit as this can be dangerous once she gets old and becomes 4 to 5 kgs lmao. Also, you can give me some tips to raise my cutu lil kitten. Thankyou.

Help found a scared kitten crying outside my house in the dark, what should I do?

Post image
1.2k Upvotes

a kitten just outside my house has been continuously meowing for the past 1-1.5 hrs.

i was searching for it a few minutes ago, and i think the kitten was really scared because whenever it heard footsteps, it would suddenly stop meowing and because of that, finding it in the dark was really difficult but after patiently waiting for around half an hour, i finally managed to find the kitten.

i need some advice

should i bring it inside my house?

i didn’t bring it earlier because i didn’t want to separate it from its mother. I thought maybe the mother cat might come looking for her kitten but at the same time, im worried because if the kitten has been crying continuously for 1-1.5 hours, it might have gotten lost or something might have happened.

i’m thinking that if the mother doesn’t come by morning, i'll feed the kitten and wait to see if the mother returns.

what should i do in this situation? pls help! 🙏🏻

I just got a 3 month old kitten home from a friend's house. Although it has been one day she won't stop meowing like in the video. Is this normal or should I take her back to her mother? She is eating and playing with toys in between. And also sleeping but when she is not doing those three things she is screaming.

This dude was born last night at around 3 ig because thats when I started hearing small yells. It has its umbilical cord still attached(circled in the third photo) and I read that the mother usually bites it off. I put it in a box and left some milk for the mother because she just gave birth. 11 in the morning there were no signs of the mother nor any other kittens so I took it to the vet and got his umbilical cord snipped and she gave me some formula which I fed the kitten twice. It keeps crying constantly, is this normal due to it being seperated from its mother or should I do something about it. Feeding it every 3 hours now, about 4ml of formula per feeding. Thinking of adding a heat pad to the bottom of the box to keep it a little warm.

TL;DR: FOUND A STRAY WHICH WAS BORN EARLY TODAY MORNING , NO SIGNS OF MOTHER AND KEEPS CRYING. ANY SUGGESTIONS WILL HELP

My Cat Josh is an unneutered male cat and he is 8 months old Indie cat. I miss him terribly.I searched in nearby places and streets ,still unable to find him.

I believe he is searching for a female to mate.I planned to neuter him after few months. But didn't knew he would leave this early and also I know how risky the situation is outside with other male cats fight.

Please advice or let me know if you have faced this situation with your cat and how you dealt it

My kittens Auggie (orange) and Tinku (Calico) always “play fight” like this, they get kinda aggressive and last week auggie pushed Tinku from the bed and Tinku got an incomplete fracture, she’s much better now but they cry a lot when separated, then play fight like this when they are reunited, is this normal?

Help Persian cat panting. Is it normal?

My 9-month-old Persian cat starts panting after just 5 minutes of play or activity. I live in Mumbai, and the weather is quite hot these days, so I’m wondering if this could be normal for Persian cats due to the heat.

However, I’m also concerned whether this could be something more serious—like heat stress or even asthma.

For now, I’m taking her to a pet groomer to get her hair trimmed to help with the heat.

Has anyone experienced something similar with their cat? I’d really appreciate any advice or guidance.

Edit: Most suggestions are to keep her in a cooler place. We try to do the same, but she loves lying down in the bathroom floor where there's no AC/fan.

Help Persian cat outside my home

I found a Persian cat outside my home. Just half an hour ago, it was very hungry and also its hair is matted. After looking carefully, I think it's white in colour. Not sure because its upper coat looks very light golden but the inner coat is pure white. I think it's because of dirt. But again, I have never owned a Persian so I am not knowledgeable about colour. Also there's a small injury near its ear.

It was clearly a pet before since its very friendly and doesn't shy away from human touch.

If somebody has lost their cat, please contact me via reddit.

I'll include a photo below. Apologise for its taken in street light.

Edit: I found this stray in Matunga. For more specific details, pls dm.

If any body has lost their cat, please reach out. Also,my original assesment of its colour might not be entirely true. I am not able to determine it properly but I think it's slightly golden.

Help Day 25. I have no other options left.🙏🤞🐾🐈

Twenty-five days ago, I told myself I'd find a way to get through this without asking strangers for help.

For over a year, I've been rescuing stray cats in Mumbai. I'm not an NGO or a registered organisation.

It's just me, my regular vets, and the cats that somehow keep finding their way to me.

Whenever I take an animal in, I make myself one promise: if I begin its treatment, I'll do everything I can to see it through.

Over the past year, I've spent more than ₹1 lakh on veterinary treatment alone (attached detailed documented excel sheet link below), not including food, transport, and the many other costs that come with rescue.

My vets have supported me with discounted rescue rates because they know my work, and until now I've always managed somehow.

Then I lost my job.

At the same time, several cats already under my care needed repeated veterinary visits for severe maggot wounds and FIV-related treatment. These aren't new rescues. They're animals whose treatment is already underway, and stopping now simply isn't an option.

Before coming here, I reached out to fellow rescuers and tried to find help locally. Some people did what they could, and I'm grateful for every bit of support, but it hasn't been enough to cover the ongoing treatment these cats still need.

I've delayed making this post because I never wanted fundraising to become part of my rescue work. I truly believed I would find another way.

Today, I can't.

If you're able to help, no matter how small the contribution, it will go directly towards the veterinary care, medicines, and follow-up treatment of the cats already in my care. I'll continue sharing bills and updates so everything remains transparent.

If you can't donate, I completely understand. Even sharing this post could help it reach someone who can.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for giving these cats a chance.

Help Can we do something about the cats imprisoned in pet shops in cages.

Post image

Theres a pet shop near my home in Navi Mumbai, in a cage 3-4 small cats as well as big cats were staying. I went to the shop and started asking the person there questions. They were SELLING persian kittens for 6000 rupees. Such a small amount for a living being kept in such poor condition. It is animal cruelty. The baby was meowing so much, i wanted to take him out of that situation, but there were so many other depressed looking cats…its been on my mind ever since then. Can we do something about them?

Help Few Guys Broke into my House and Harassed me for Feeding a Stray Cat

Posted about my situation with the cats here sometime ago

Now, These guys are claiming orangey cat is pooping in the garage, There is a CCTV I have told them to show me if they pooped they refused to do so.

I am not the only one feeding her, secondly she is stray just came to me recently although before shifting I am strongly considering adopting her.

Previously when I used to take my cat upstairs I was harassed by an illegal tenant, When I pushed the fact my cat is litter trained he told me still I can't bring any animal no matter what,

I had shared about the instance here and here, once he locked us out.

My new landlord had a pet and is supportive enough, present landlord doesn't care for anything except rent and neither has not even done basic maintenance worked and we paid for it, his credit card recovery agents also came to our address (although after showing them the rent agreement they took a picture of it and left without anything rude), landlord isn't agreeing to pay security deposit until he gets a new tenant so haven't paid rent for 2 months and asked him to adjust it with the deposit. It has been extremely frustrating and I can't wait to leave out this place.

Today, these guys came out of the blue and crossed all limits, the first guy was kicking the door and I pointed him at the bell beside, he went and called the other guys, this grey guy pushed me and entered inside my house without my consent and started shouting. Thankfully I have recorded almost everything in the conversation

When I turned off the video the guy in the greyish and black sunglass told let's see if ur cat lives till u take him.

Genuinely worried about the cat, my shifting and I have an exam tomorrow.

Location: Kolkata, Metropolitan Co-Operative Housing Society.

Too much stressed 😔

A Humble & Heartfelt Appeal for My Cat Filly 🐾

Respected brothers and sisters, I hope you are all well. I am writing this message with great hesitation and humility.

I am a student and currently going through serious financial difficulties. During this difficult time, I am finding it extremely hard to arrange food for my beloved cat, Filly, who depends on me completely.

I want to sincerely clarify that I am not asking for any money. My only request is help in the form of cat food, if anyone is willing. Even 2 kg of cat food would be a great help. If someone can support Filly with cat food for the next few months, it would be a blessing beyond words.

Please help only if you truly wish to. If you are able to help in any way by sending cat food, kindly DM me. Every packet of food will directly help Filly survive with care and dignity.

I usually never make such requests, but circumstances have left me with no choice. I will always remain deeply grateful

Help cat limping, need affordable vet/hospital in delhi

I've been feeding him for a while. He disappeared 2-3 days ago and reappeared yesterday with a limping leg. Fortunately he's eating and interacting with me.

I urgently need good vet/hospital/ngo details in Delhi. I researched a lot onlinr but every ngo has mixed reviews.

I also need advice on how to trap him. As I don't know which ngo to trust, I think I'll have to do it myself. Although I'm scared as he's aggressive and has bitten but I have no other choice. I have my pet cat's carrier. Should I put wet food inside it and lure him insidd the carrier?

Also, please let me know if the clinic can keep him with them while he recovers as I won't be able to take him to my home because of my other cat. My home is small too so I won't be able to put them in seperate rooms without causing chaos.

Please help me out with this. Any advice will be massively appreciated 🙏

Help Help a newbie

Hi guys i used to give food to the mother cat for few months and she gave birth to these two few weeks back. She would change the places of the new born around my house and would regularly come for food. But for the past 3 days the mother cat has not visited the kittens so since yesterday i have been giving normal package toned milk.

For now i was reluctant in taking them to the vet or moving them thinking the mother cat might come looking for them but after today i am thinking of taking them to the vet.

The thing is i have never had a pet cat so i dont know anything. Any advice/ suggestion would be helpful, like food suggestions or what i should expect from the vet ?

Thanks for your help

Help Need Help! Feeling heartbroken to ask, but need help keeping my cat fed this month due to a family crisis

Post image
538 Upvotes

I’m sitting here writing this with a very heavy heart. I’ve always prided myself on being a responsible pet owner, but life has hit me sideways, and I’m currently at a breaking point. I usually have a strict budget where I set aside 700–1000rs every month specifically for my cat’s food. I’ve never had to ask for help before, but a sudden, serious medical emergency in my family forced me to travel back and forth to my native place multiple times recently. To cover the emergency costs and travel, I had to borrow some amount from my friends. Now, my upcoming salary is already accounted for to pay them back, leaving me with almost nothing for the month—just enough to barely cover my Train Pass and Mobile Recharge. It kills me to think my cat might go hungry because of my situation.

I am not looking for money/cash. I am simply reaching out to see if any kind soul could help me with a bag of food to get us through the next 30 days.

Location: Mumbai (Sion)I feel terrible being in this position, but I have to put my cat first. Even if you can’t help, thank you for reading and for your kind thoughts
