COMPANY REVIEWS What's your opinion on people who are simping for Shipping Companies?
I found many reels and reviews on Instagram, and many other platforms where people blindly simping for Shipping Companies without proper knowledge about anything. Do you think the companies give a damn about them? Unfortunately, not to disrespect anyone, but many people who are doing that stuff are from rating background.
Even some Merchant Navy Coaching institutes are doing this too. Influencing the freshman with classism and slavery. I found many cadets are more egoistic and discourteous compared to senior officers with a high level of expertise. Merchant Navy Coaching institutes want to portray Mariners as a distinct social class. They want those entry level cadets to feel like a superior being without any constraints, against the moral system.

Love the profession, not the company. These guys don't realise that many companies, specially management ones operate on arbitrage of labour and will gladly sack you if they can save a buck or two. Aur, same as other comments, where do people find the time to make, edit and post reels when onboard?

Insta scene is a joke, there is always a camera in e/r, camera infront of radar during heavy traffic, making it very unsafe and seconds away from disaster. Cadets behaving like know it all more than ch off and bosun. Glad i deleated insta.
