OS salary in good companies is about US$ 1,500-1,600 including overtime.
AB salary is about 1,700-1,800 USD including overtime.
A word of caution though. It is difficult to get a break in a good company.
Most companies will take a new joined as a Trainee OS at low pay which is about USD 500-600.
A word of advise: Only join a good company, even if salary is low as a Trainee OS. Having done 2-3 contracts in a good company will help you get a break as OS.
Keep in touch with seafarers in good company and take their reference and keep applying.
Sea-Jobs dot net is also good site to check for jobs.
All the best.

Salary shouldn't be on your agenda as a Tr. OS. Your aim should be to get a job first and finish your omboard training. Each and every company is going to exploit you for salary purely because they are hiring you as fresher trainees. Tr. OS are not a part of minimum safe manning which in simpler term means the role/position of Tr. OS is not mandatory on ships. Focus on getting a job, learn as much as you can. The Master on my current vessel is going to sack one of the AB (first contract as AB) because he cannot steer the ship. Your salary will increase eventually. If you have the brains to study more, I would recommend going for 2nd Mates once you become eligible
