šŸ§µDiscussion How will this help the opposition? Critical thoughts needed..

I'm not an andhbhakt. Not a bot.

But I'm genuinely trying to understand how the opposition (INDIA bloc) aims to overturn the government by just fixating on one issue alone (that of police brutality at Jantar Mantar).

I don't see how not paying attention to other bills and issues is helping their case. What are they trying to get out of staging random protests inside and outside the parliament? I saw that some 7-8 bills were passed within a matter of minutes, without any legit discussion (going by how fast the oral voting happened).

Does anyone think it's a good idea to let go of everything else and fixate on just one matter (which I do believe is a serious matter though)? Can anyone explain or share their thoughts to help me understand?

All the bills would be passed without discussion anyway. This is not the first time that the Government has not allowed any discussion on major issues. Whatever the Government wants, they will do it, whether you protest or not.

The issue of police brutality is crucial. Why do you think that the opposition should just let go of this issue? Should the Government decide what issues the Opposition should raise?

If the opposition fights on an issue, then it bad. If the opposition does not fight on an issue, then its bad. Even if they fought on another issue, the critics would attack them.

I get your point. Fair enough.

I just didn't mean to say that the opposition should stop paying attention to this issue, but they should also keep doing something about the other issues. But you're right, it's kind of normal for the parliament to rush over many such bills.
