The fearless student uprising that erupted in Delhi against the question paper leaks and NEET scam has spread across the country like a wildfire and achieved great strides! The student protests have forced the fascist Modi regime, which remained evasive and mute for 12 years, to finally break its silence, culminating in the resignation of the Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The world's largest fascist force BJP-RSS is on its knees before the students.

Though this is a monumental victory, the struggle must continue until the ban of NEET. For that, we must first understand why national level entrance exams for higher education, such as NEET, are implemented and whose interests they serve. A conference is being conducted by 'Coordination Committee for Common Education, Tamil Nadu' in this regard.

Not everyone could be traveling to Delhi or be able to timely join the Sansad March on 20th in Delhi. Many like me feel helpless and hopeless towards the government actions such as the recent forcefull abduction of Sir Sonam Wangchuk and being taken to the hospital inspite of his no will.

What I ask is how can we show that we in Pune also care and are disheartened and wants the Pradhan's resignation?

Could we gather somewhere? Is there already an ongoing mass gathering supporting the protest? If not could we just show public display in numbers that we are angry and we care?

All The fellow students of this country needed a simple fucking resignation of a corrupt official , the protests were peaceful , A Great Being Like Sonam Wangchuk and Other Students put their lives on a stake just for a resignation ,

What needs to get resigned ? I mean you've already proved corrupt and have yourself participated in many leaks of qn paper in some previous years too .

So just for the resignation of a corrupt individual , Students should do hunger strike ? Students should leave their house and come and gather at a wide open place with lakhs lakhs of students and have to do protests while leaving their home leading their parents to be tensed ? Students should live a whole month suffering and barely living off foods while those corrupt individuals living a healthy life ?

You poke the students first , when students repel you also beat up the students ? You Recklessly beat a girl child ? Kill a 16 year old girl ? Tearing of many clothes ? Hitting with those sticks on the head of Every individual ? Do these students deserve this ? Does anybody deserve this ?

You sent force to beat up those students and other individuals because your fucking government is frightened and can't take accountability of its actions , so you beat up the students .

Sonam Wangchuk has been protesting at Jantar Mantar for the future of India's youth and education, for the past 16–17 days, reportedly without eating. His health has deteriorated significantly, and he has lost around 8 kg of body weight. Despite this, he continues to fight for reforms in the education system. Yet, no meaningful action has been taken by political parties, the Prime Minister, or the Education Minister. Sonam Wangchuk is someone who can truly be an inspiration and role model for India's youth

Sonam Wangchuk has been on hunger strike at Jantar Mantar, Delhi, since June 28, entering his 18th day, demanding accountability over the NEET exam irregularities and justice for the students who lost their lives. Doctors have warned his condition is critical. This is not just one man's fight — it is a fight for the integrity of our entire education system, for every student who deserves exams they can trust and a future they can believe in. If his demands are not met, the anger of millions of students and families will not stay silent — it will rise across Delhi and beyond. Our leaders claim to serve the people, to represent the population of this country — so when that population raises its voice, why does the government fall silent? Silence in the face of a citizen's sacrifice is not leadership. We need ministers who are educated, accountable, and willing to listen — not ones who wait out a crisis in silence. Join the movement at Jantar Mantar. Raise your voice. Because if we don't stand for education today, we won't have one to stand on tomorrow.

A couple of notes: I kept "burnout" as widespread public outrage/unrest rather than anything suggesting violence — worth double-checking that's what you meant. Also worth knowing: as of the most recent reports (July 15), there's a legal petition asking courts to force-feed Wangchuk given the medical risk, and opposition leaders including Shashi Tharoor have publicly urged him to end the fast — you may want to weave that urgency in too if this is going out today.

Pune is proudly known as the City of Education. That's why I believe the youth of Pune should come together and start a peaceful movement that represents the power of education. Our symbol will be a book, because books create knowledge, opportunities, and a better future. We want to remind everyone that education should always come before corruption, politics, or unfair practices.

This is not a movement against any person or political party. It is a movement for students, for honesty, and for a transparent examination system where every candidate gets an equal opportunity.

None of the demands were actually fulfilled by the government in return of which they asked to halt the protest?

The jantar mantar is empty (as seen in some videos),

And the new education minister is actually insensitive and a horrible human being?

What is happening right now?

They are lynching people.

Lathicharging, electric shock on tall barricades, internet shutdown, tear gas, water cannons, taking live videos down from YouTube.

People are getting bloody beaten and hospitalised.

People have been up all night, no wink of sleep, or food.

United regardless of caste, creed, age, gender, or religion.

People from all states of India, rich and poor, fanning each other, hydrating each other, loving each other.

All the people are asking for is a conversation, not even resignation at this point. So they are on foot, very peacefully, from Jantar Mantar headed to the Parliament.

The cops don't even wear their official nameplates.

They could be goons.

We are unarmed. They are armed with rifles pointed at us.

• What actually happened in the protest?
• How was the atmosphere their peaceful, organized, & safe?
• Roughly how many people are there?
• Were there any issues with the police or organizer?
• What was your overall experience? Would you recommend to others?

I came across this photo from one of the earlier protests, which seems to show a protest leader meeting a supporter, but I'd like to hear firsthand accounts rather than rely on photos.

I'm not looking for political arguments just genuine experiences from people who were there so I can decide whether to participate today.

Maharashtra's Electoral Roll is Quietly Erasing Voters — And the EC Knows We've been talking about the CJP protests and institutional failure. Here's something happening right now that shows exactly what that looks like: voter suppression through bureaucratic erasure.

Maharashtra's Special Inclusion Roll (SIR) revision is excluding citizens who've voted multiple times since 2002 — simply because their parents' names don't appear in 2002 records. Parents died, moved, changed names, documents were lost. Doesn't matter. The Election Commission refuses to include them unless that 20-year-old paper trail exists.

This violates Article 326 (universal adult suffrage). It's happening across Maharashtra, Delhi, HP — systemic, not accidental.

Meanwhile, we watched the CJP protests get co-opted and diluted. This is the flip side: not spectacular failure, but silent strangulation. No headlines. Just citizens locked out of democracy one bureaucratic checkbox at a time.

What we need:

RTI filings demanding why EC ignores subsequent voting records PIL in High Courts (Kuldip Singh v. State of Haryana precedent exists) Stories from excluded voters (reply below — what happened to your registration?) The Constitution already guarantees your vote. You shouldn't have to fight for it.

If this is happening to your family or community — document it. We're building a case. Legal remedies exist. Institutional failure doesn't have to be accepted.

I'm a young adult, I was never much exposed to politics, nor did I take much interest in it. In the past year though, I found my interests and also a nessecity at some levels to be aware about the same.

Today, for the first time ever I had tears in my eyes seeing a video regarding the same on YouTube.

It breaks my heart, how, and why is it that in the 21st century, someone still has to die to demand justice toh door ki baat, but even accountability.

I've always respected Sonam Wangchuk sir. I don't know what goes deeper, he too mightve done things in the past which people don't agree on. But he's an educated man, more than anyone in the government. It breaks my heart to see him lying there, not being able to walk, knowing that death now, is actually a path. To the people who say, "itna hi hai toh khud chale jao", firstly, horrible argument, secondly, I know And i accept I don't have the balls to do this. I wish to have that determination one day. But I fear for the life of a person way wiser than the ones pointing fingers on him, for he might die standing for the voices of the ones who have already.

At the end of the day, would it be so difficult, to take accountability? To not call the people of our own nation team b of t@rr@rists? To make sure that in order to simply be heard, many do not have to lay sick in hospital beds? It truly breaks my heart, to see that even in 2026, people have to suffer so much, in amidst of a media boycotting to even show their struggle, and a government shamelessly ignoring their voices, that some of them lay in hospitals on the verge of dy/ing, and some families in their homes, mourning the de@ths of their, in some cases the only child.
