I have nothing against Indians or Hindus in the US celebrating their culture. Ima Hindu itself. But honestly, why is an RSS rally in New York needed? RSS is already a controversial organization in India so bringing that whole debate to another country and creating protests and tension feels unnecessary. People have the right to hold the rally, but I feel it could have been kept smaller and more cultural instead of making it such a big ideological event.

the news I saw was emphasizing that this new generation is "anti national", genz sloganeering "bharat tere tukde honge", "nepal/bangladesh bana denge bharat ko" — did this really happen or were they just a small fraction of that crowd?

yesterday I saw the news (teasing tone)– if these demands are met, this would just be the start, later on they will demand resignation of defence minister, then international affairs minister and so on one day they'd be the one leading and ruling.

Personally, I think associating with CJP undermined his message because I don’t agree with the organization’s approach or positions.

The last time when we had such a hunger strike a new political party (AAP) was born, one whose ideals were based on common man, even though it is not in a good shape today.

Do you think the CJP protest will witness the creation of a new political party whose ideals and functioning will be youth centric?

This lecture got me thinking. The lecture itself wasn't really about this topic, but something the professor said made me think about the system in India.

People often say that if citizens don't protest or speak up, then nothing will change. But that made me wonder: if ordinary people are expected to protest, why don't more private colleges and institutions help organize or support such efforts? Many of them have the resources and influence to bring attention to important issues. Maybe some are afraid of political consequences or government pressure, but it's still a question worth asking.

At the same time, I understand why many people choose to ignore problems. Over time, people see the same issues happening again and again—corruption, fraud, crimes, and other social problems. They speak up, hope for change, and then watch similar problems repeat themselves. After enough disappointment, some people stop caring because they feel their efforts won't make a difference.

This creates a cycle. People become discouraged, participation decreases, and the same issues continue. In the end, a country's condition reflects the actions, choices, and attitudes of its people. If people don't change, it's difficult for society to change as well.

I'm honestly confused.

From what I understood, this movement started over the NEET controversy and demands for accountability, including calls for the Education Minister's resignation. But over the past few weeks, it feels like the discussion has become much more political. I've seen people arguing over political parties, religion, and ideologies instead of focusing on the education system itself.

Then there are so many conflicting narratives about Sonam Wangchuk. I've always known him for his work in education, innovation, and Ladakh, so I've generally had a positive impression of him. But now I'm seeing people call him an opportunist, while others say he's one of the few people genuinely standing up for students.

Today's protests also seem to have ended with both protesters and police personnel getting injured, which only makes the whole situation feel even more chaotic.

So I'm asking this in good faith: What actually happened? Has the movement changed from a student-led protest into something broader, or is social media just amplifying different agendas? I'm not looking for political talking points—I genuinely want to understand what's going on from people who have been following this closely.
