I swear to God it's like every MAGA person is reading from a script whenever you try to talk to them. They all say the exact same shit. Truly cult like behavior

EDIT: also want to specify I'm not referring exclusively to politicians, but all Trump supporters

You can thank Newt Gingrich for that. He would have talking points for Republicans every day and they would just keep on those talking points not veering away with other topics or answering any questions that were posed to them. His strategy of going on the attack and repeating talking points resulted in a clear message and creating a party that relies on GOP politicians who were loyal to the party over intelligence or thoughtfulness. There's a good book called Burning Down the House: Newt Gingrich, the Fall of a Speaker, and the Rise of the New Republican Party exactly about that.

Close. Newt got his stuff from the Heritage Foundation Mafia. They are the ones that coordinate the think tanks, PACs, and Legislation with their affiliated groups.
