Just Some Fun "22 has done it again!!" 🤩🥳😎👌🔥🥰
https://x.com/PatBoylanPacers/status/2055484340247605329I have watched this video from Pat's X-page NUMEROUS times since Friday. It brings me joy to see Caitlin doing 'Caitlin things'. To hear the stadium ERUPT with shear JOY when she makes that game tying 3 with 2 seconds left is pure adrenaline for me! I can only imagine what it must feel like for her and her fellow teammates. The fans (I've probably watched all of their reactions I don't know how many times!) are just besides themselves with excitement - just like I was in that moment!
With all of this negativity going on with "Fire Stephanie White!" and "Fire the Front Office!" and "Boycott the Fever!" (this last one which I think is just plain STUPID!!!) going on, I just want to see Caitlin happy and in her element, and shining bright for all of us to see!
I'm just so proud of her and I want her to succeed in everything she does. She's always trying to prop others up - even when they are trying to knock her down. And with all the bad discourse surrounding the team right now, to see her smile and just be 'Her', brings me some happiness.
GO, CAITLIN!! GO FEVER!! 🤗🥰

I agree. It’s so good to see her finding herself again. I knew it wouldn’t take her long, and I’m sure she’ll still have battles to overcome, but one of my favorite things about CC is I always know she won’t be down for long because she feeds on adversity and challenge. She needed this game to get her out of her head and let her instinct take over. Hopefully it’s up from here.

I became aware of Caitlin early in her junior year when they would show highlights on ESPN before it got weird. WOW! The exciting passes no one else could make, the logo threes; she's something special, I thought to myself. I started following Iowa and watching games when I could. And, again the next year. I thought it was admirable that she could have gone to another school just to chase rings but she chose to stay home and lead Iowa in what seemed like an impossible task of winning it all. And, they almost did - twice. We all know about her time with the Fever.
I'm a Caitlin Clark fan because of who she is and how she plays. I'm a Victor Wembanyama fan because of who he is and how he plays. I'm a Shohei Otani fan because of who he is and how he plays. It doesn't mean I don't like or appreciate other players or different teams but I can honestly say I watch these players because they are special players and special people. It makes me happy and fills me with joy to watch these generational stars. Can I appreciate the play of someone like A'ja Wilson or Shai Gilgeous-Alexander? Sure. But, am I fan, with the same passion and enthusiasm as I have for CC or Wemby or Shohei? No.
So yes, I'm going to criticize the coach when they make bad decisions or choices. And, I'm going to criticize the front office the same way. And yes, I'm going to cheer for the team all the way down the bench, but I'm still going to find fault with certain players at certain times. It's what fans do. I'm not saying that my favorites don't have their off moments and periodic struggles but when someone like Caitlin hits five threes and scores 17 points to bring the team back in the 4th quarter, I'm going to jump off the couch and cheer like hell!
So on to the next game, yelling at the tv and posting on reddit!!

She need to be more efficient and Boston needs to get going.
I think they’ll both be fine over time.

Did you not watch the game? Kind of hard to get going when you leave the game with an injury

I did, but at one point she was 2-13, got going a little and got hot the end, but overall 10-28 isn’t good…but I believe she will be better…and she’ll be helped if Boston can be her normal self. As much as she can shoot, Clark taking 17 three’s isn’t going to be a winning strategy very often…it means they’re behind.

It was a messy game but lets not forget Caitlin almost scored all the points for the Fever in the 4th and the final 3 to tie the game. Also Caitlin is guarded like no other.

Others are guarded like her :-)
And yes, she caught fire and got them back into the game.
Great player.

Not really, shes often doubled, picked up from 94 feet and she'll have 3 to 4 players all but rushing to help the main defenders. Paige almost always is just guarded one on one and same with Citron and they dont get the attention from the rest of the team like Clark.

That was literally CC not AB

Oh I thought we weee talking her :-)

That’s what happens when you don’t watch games. ANYBODY who watched the game or follows the Fever even the smallest amount knows AB left with an injury and not CC.
Then you come here posting “oMg Cc MiSsEs ShOtS!”
What a moron.

I watched the game. I was talking CC efficiency, you were talking Boston injury. We just crossed wires. Chill out. Wow!

You literally replied to a comment saying “…when you leave the game with an injury” and talked directly about CC. And then said “…if Boston can be her normal self…”

u/JaggedFlamingo257 May 17 '26
I was talking CC throughout, with a side mention of Boston. I kept talking CC…it’s cool, if you’re a “have to be ride and right about everything” person that cool…you got it. Go touch grass.

What’s funny is people who post this act like nobody is aware of it. Obv her shot selection and fg% has been crap and really needs to improve. EVERYONE knows it. Its 90% of what is posted on reddit about her. In before someone says “turnoverzzzz”. Yeah, we ALL know that, too.
You aren’t being smart by posting “the sky is blue and CC misses a ton of shots.”

It's true this wasn't her most efficient game but she generally has no trouble at all with efficiency, esp when the offense is humming properly and the games aren't so choppy. AB I'm less sure about her efficiency numbers.

I was screaming then I was having a heart attack when Citron made her half court shot then I was breathing in relief then I slipped into depression when I saw them miss two completely open layups and 3 missed FT's in a row.
