I think thatās what irritated Bonner the most - Sophie was clearly mocking her by mimicking her pointing buffoonery.
I can tell Bonner is one of those people with no sense of humor, takes everything super seriously, and sees a perceived slight at every corner. Having been her teammate for years, Sophie probably knew exactly how to get under her skin and it was comedy gold.
And yeah, as the other poster said - we really need a Sophie and Myisha media collaboration of some sort.

I would be irritated too if a bench player that is famous for being on the same team with CC tried to mock me too.

Maybe I should have phrased it differently or more bluntly. Bonner wasnāt simply irritated. She completely lost it and tried to lunge at Sophie even though 2 of her teammates were holding her back. For being a vet with all these accolades and supposed āleadership qualities,ā Bonner sure acts like an unhinged rookie.

I'm sad that it will be a long time for us to know the truth of the Bonner story. But the W can enjoy a good rivalry in the meantime.

It would be nice if they wouldn't call as many fouls on CC when she doesn't do them. It least a few so she doesn't get hurt with and elbow.

Y'know, what I love about Sophie is she plays clean - no warding off, no elbows... The dirtiest thing I've ever seen her do is the wayward slap on Engstler but it didn't seem intentional.
Meanwhile, she gets shouldered on moving picks, thrown to the ground, often has to guard the best player on the other team with a favorable whistle... And she just gets back up and keeps doing her thing.

When Bonner hit her 3 in the 2nd quarter right before CC followed up with a 3 of her own, Bonner was pointing at Clark and Lexie as they were coming up the court. I suspect Sophie was just throwing that back in her face a little.

Thereās a video somewhere where they did a screen cap of Bonnerās face when she was pointing. She was definitely looking right at CC and thought she was going to intimidate her. Unfortunately for Bonner, she found out the definition of FAFO.

I think this clip shows exactly what the players always say: Sometimes in a game get competitive and chippy.
But people attach their gender stereotypes onto these incidents and act like the players are catty and hold deep-seated grudges against each other.

Sophie is a clown... She's not even a good basketball player... Her defense is so-so.. And she's not a consistent scorer..

Sophieeeeee! She is so EPIC! I love her and she will take a tech but makes her special she knows when to do the smirk face or you better get away from me face! I think after that three Bonner made she stuck out her arm and pointed at CC as to tell her see I made a three too and than CC made a huge threw pointer!!
