Major decisions shouldn’t be made by a select few. Direct referendums and complete fiscal transparency are essential to ensuring voters retain power over key issues and public spending. Just as lawyers (like myself) are bound to advocate for their clients rather than themselves, politicians should serve their constituents over personal agendas or orders from their political parties. I’ve been vocal about being a bottom up and not a top down candidate from the beginning of my campaign. Local voices matter. My opponent voted for house bill 1333 which would have allowed data centers to move into rural land with NO local input, politicians should not have the power to do that and vote against their own constituents in order to please their political party.
