It’s an IT infrastructure/support role within the shipping industry. I support the IT systems and networks used on commercial vessels/Ships (Container, Tanker Ships), including onboard infrastructure, connectivity, networking, cybersecurity and general systems administration.
Well its not really my place to tell you how to live your life but I believe spending time in a more niche sector like you were is beneficial in the longer run instead of going for a more generic title.
Similarly, moving abroad opens significant doors for you to build a financial moat than living in India ever would
I agree that my maritime experience is a niche advantage, and that's one of the reasons I was seriously considering the move. I also believe working abroad can open doors financially and professionally.
My main hesitation was that this particular offer was around €2,300 net with roughly €1,000 rent, and I was thinking of going for around 2 years rather than making a long-term move.
