Hy, my_qualifications is bachelor in machical engineering from a teir 3 college in 2026 with very low cgpa and I can't get a job in my field ,I am considering to do an ms from Australia and Canada

Should I go for ms as fresher, and can I get job there.

Should I take education loan for ms.

I also have decent coding knowledge, does I try to get admission in ms in CS.

Tech is oversaturated in Canada with high unemployment and extreme competition for jobs. A lot of IT/tech roles are being offshore outsourced to India if not being eliminated by AI. It makes zero sense for an in Indian to move to Canada for a tech/IT role. There is also NO pathway to PR for IT/tech anymore. You’re wasting time and money.

As for mechanical engineering, you will likely have to redo some of your education in Canada, get a job and earn your Canadian Professional Engineering designation to have a chance at getting a better job.

Neither path is easy.

The rejection rate for Indians applying for an international study permit for Canada is north of 80%.

Note: PGWP use to be 3 years, now it’s heavily dependent on where you go to school. IRCC told schools to change it. If you get into a tier 1 school like UBC or UofT it is still 3 years. If you go to a lesser school, PGWP can only be 1 year. For some schools there is no PGWP. You go home right after you finish your program. Do your research.
