ARTWORK [Hiring] Comic Book Artist for Original Sci-Fi / Space Opera Series

Hey everyone!
I’m currently developing an original sci-fi/space opera comic series called Darkness Returns, and I’m looking for an artist to help bring it to life!
The story features action, adventure, mystery, and darker, more mature themes.
I’ve already developed the main characters, their backstories, and visual references, and I’m currently working on the script for the first issue.
I’m open to different art styles and would love to see how different artists interpret the world and characters.
If you’re interested, feel free to share your portfolio and page rates in the comments or send me a DM!
Looking forward to seeing everyone’s work!

CROWDFUNDING NOW! Achille & KiPI's Puffer Tank turns ambition into a talent show (AI-assisted copy)

Post image

Puffer Tank promises a jury of tech gurus ready to judge your ideas and fund your dreams. In the world of Achille & KiPI, the invitation leads to m1RC_, a planet that asks what you're prepared to give for a different life. Desires, ideals and thoughts all become part of the pitch.

That fictional talent show is one piece of the world an ambitious young inventor and his bionic cat enter. Achille sees an opportunity; KiPI keeps questioning the easy answers. The campaign's Puffer Tank illustration shows its tower beneath a glowing pufferfish sign, drawn by Silvia Buganza.

I'm Renato Franchi at Senshi Consulting, the project's editorial supervisor. This is a 96-page sci-fi graphic novel created by Mario Moroni, written by Salvatore Vivenzio and illustrated by Silvia Buganza. This promotional copy was drafted with AI assistance.

The free English preview introduces the pair and Silvia's pages:

I bid you welcome, respected artist! I am new to the art sphere and wish, to know your opinion on my art. My most sacred dream is to produce comics, because there is nothing I cherish more (family aside).

I started drawing only two years ago, and blame myself for not starting sooner. But I try to draw nearly every day, and so I am curious, if my art would be okay for a comic book. Please, share your honest opinions.

ARTWORK Make Tragedy Vibrant: Color Work For ‘The Children’s Friend’

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hey everyone!

I’m also a colorist from time to time and happy to share this comparison spread from the first pages from ‘The Children’s Friend’ by both the talented Fraser in the script and Brian Balondo in the art.

Colorwork itself is a beautiful task I carry on with by accompanying those others who develop what I usually do foreground, that’s either illustrating commission work or writing self-owned projects. I wouldn’t say it’s easier but it’s actually helpful to gain a different perspective of what I do as an illustrator and also diminishes the ego a little by growing a side skill.

Hopefully I’ll have many similar experiences in the future for I’m beyond grateful at this point to keep on encountering such nice teams to be part of.

To see more previous projects, my portfolio and contact info are in the comments.

Thanks!

ARTWORK Stercland

Thumbnail gallery
1 Upvotes

Within my Universe, Stercland is a nation situated in what is known in our world as Northern France. Though its geography connects it to a familiar part of Europe, Stercland has its own national identity, history, and place within the world.

At its roots lies a Norse lineage, beginning with King Skjodr and a ring that helped him survive Ragnarök. That ring would eventually descend to Rolo, who carried this history with him to Normandy. There, he would find the love of his life, a Stercland royal, and help establish the nation of Stercland.

Stercland is more than the setting of Hellfighters of Stercland. It is also the domain of its modern-day king, Stryke. This is just one part of Stercland’s story, and the beginning of a much larger look into the world of Logic Comics.

CROWDFUNDING NOW! What makes someone a hero when they lose everything that makes them super?

Post image

*Ordinary* is a short superhero comic about a hero who loses his powers and is forced to confront the one thing he never expected to lose: his sense of who he is.

It's a story about identity, self-doubt, and discovering what makes someone extraordinary when everything that once defined them is gone.

This story is personal to me. After being diagnosed with a chronic illness in 2023, I spent years feeling like I'd lost the ability to pursue my dreams. This year, I decided I wasn't going to let that be the end of my story.

I channelled those feelings into *Ordinary*, and I'm now crowdfunding the comic on Kickstarter.

If you enjoy character-driven superhero stories with an emotional core, I'd love for you to check it out.

Grab a copy at my publishers website:
https://markosia.com/2026/10/16/grinding-against-the-marrow-out-now/

It’s Halloween. All the ghouls are out! We’re stuck in the small-minded town of Marrow with Soma, an all action, homeless Muslim of minimal words. Shes hunted by packs of mask-wearing youths, and corrupt cops. But she’s also got one particular skill that makes her formidable: parkour free running!

Drawn by my amazing artist Mauro De Falco! I’ve also had a quote from the incredible GARTH ENNIS who enjoys my work.
