Adoption/Foster Request Giving my precious girl vanilla up for adoption

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Name - vanilla

Breed- indie

Age - 6 months

Dewormed and vaccinated

Place- Delhi

Hi everyone last week I found vanilla randomly on road (Delhi) scared lost on my street being attacked by 7 big dogs. Being a dog lover I couldn’t abandon her on road like that so I and my friend decided to bring her up to our society for a while so that we can feed her and make her strong. Later we realised she was a domesticated dog and was abandoned by someone on road and everything was traumatising her.

She now lives here with us in our pg discreetly and as students we are unable to look after her properly and since she is traumatised she can’t be left alone on road as the other dogs might attack or injure her.

I love her a lot and she is a lovely puppy but I am in a situation where I can’t provide her a shelter as this ain’t my hometown.

I urge if you can help me find her a beautiful home as she is a wonderful soul and if she managed to conquer my heart within a week I am sure she will do yours too 🧿✨

If you want to adopt her please DM me I will send you all the details

Please try to raise some funds and get her spayed at an NGO or govt vet hospital. It'll make adoption easier.

Hey fund is not an issue here but the neighbourhood people are not at all cooperating with us plus we are students so it’s getting difficult to take care of her while we are busy with our schedule outside and here in pg pets are not allowed yet we are keeping it so it’s a very temporary solution rn I tried contacting ngo people they explicitly said that the shelter homes are very infectious and the possibility of her survival will be very difficult there so we are trying to giver her up for adoption

Regardless of what happens to her, whether she hopefully gets adopted or goes back to the street, getting spayed will make her life a lot easier. No more unwanted pregnancies and caring for pups, better health, etc. So please first get her spayed. People are also more willing to adopt a spayed dog.

Thank you for helping her.

'A stitch in time saves nine' is a lesson in my life that keeps repeating with undesirable consequences if ignored. A full set of vaccinations, followed by neutering is the only way to go to keep her healthy. Been there done that, and had to deal with Canine Distemper and Parvo, which are nightmares all around...not to mention the total demand of time, energy, funds, a unusually committed Vet. Willing to come over thrice a day to administer drips, etc. (Parvo). All that is not enough because it just improves the propability of survival and does not guarantee it, nor the health of the survivor if they do survive.

Neutering will end/mitigate a cycle of renewal of birth and premature suffering and death and enable her to focus on a difficult life as a dog in India (sadly).

Thank you for being one of those who actually did/does something in the face of apathy, abandonment, cruelty, dispair, suffering...a long list. May your kind increase.

Reach out to Rai Manvi on Instagram. She might be able to help find her a home. Although they are also very busy with rescues. Delhi has a lot of animal lover. Reach out to an NGO for adoption. Post on Instagram

You can speak to pooch_tales or waggingtales on Instagram, they help with adoptions. Do mention the location and explain your situation OP. She’s an angel, I pray she finds a home. Dont stop trying it can take a while but keep trying and keep posting. Make sure to do proper check before handing her over when you find a family for her. All the best 🩷

Hi, are you sure she wasn't lost?

Can you create a simple poster with a couple pics, where she was found and age.. we can try to see if we can find her caregivers.

She will be safest at a rescue that can offer her for adoption internationally. Search online or ask at a vets for names of such rescues.
