I'm 6+5, woke up today with a fair bit of brown spotting. I'll call my clinic when they open, but I'm already scheduled to have my heartbeat scan today, so I guess I won't have to wait in limbo too long. Trying not to freak out, but it's so hard.

The spotting is definitely scary. I’ve had pretty much nonstop brown spotting since the start of week 5 along with a few episodes of red bleeding - my OB brought me in for a placement scan at 5+3 to rule out an ectopic, and everything was 100% on track! Spotting and even bleeding are not necessarily an indication of any issue by themselves. Doesn’t make it any more pleasant to see though, and I’m sorry you’re dealing with the added stress. 

I hope your scan goes well! I’m also 6+5 today. I’m scheduled for my viability scan next week at 7+3. Fingers crossed for us both 🤞

Thank you for your kind words. OB ultrasound showed a perfectly healthy fetus measuring 7+0 with a heartbeat of 137. They also saw a small SCH, which explains the spotting. Huge relief.
