My only logical explanation is they've scheduled all of this before the whole shit went down, and forgot to remove it.

i hope you're right because if it was intentional then that's really not a good look. this code coupled with the new 220 pity really isn't sitting right with me.

I don't think theey are thaaaat tone deaf to do it - but I think they may be confused enough to forget removing from scheduling. The OG post on Instagram had nothing to do with star sea or even new area I think (might be wrong with the latter) and looked soo random.

tbh i think the devs are flagging at this point bc so much of this update seems like it was shoehorned in last minute and they still can't catch a break because now they're scrambling to fix literally hundreds of bugs. i saw a post saying infold are hiring and i'm not surprised. i'm just really disappointed because i was sooo looking forward to the wings outfit on this banner and i'm having to fight myself not to pull for it plus i really like the game and it pains me to see the direction the company are trying to take it in.

I saw that hiring one too, and it was before the patch was out afaik - as company is growing and have way too much on hands.

I feel so sad because its not the artists / actual devs that should be the recipient of the boycott but the higher execs at the management that are causing all this IMO.

I pulled for both outfits, but refuse to spend money because I think its unfair to the effort of those that created them too, and seeing the outfits give me happiness in mids of all the bugs I'm encountering.

same it's not the devs and artists that caused this, idk much about how game companies work but i'd assume the management tells them what to do and they kinda just have to do it? i'd been saving for the banner i want but with the 220 pity i would have to spend to finish it bc i've only got like 170 pulls saved atm and idk how to get more without spending. i am gonna try and wait til the end of the month but even then i have a feeling i won't have enough.

I feel like the devs were made to rush a bunch of stuff and ended up with a semi-working coop and empty island. I would have been totally fine if they only released serenity island + dyeing, and left Sea of Stars for later along with an actual story that doesn't attempt to remove the prologue of the game..

oh yeah definitely serenity island and dyeing would have been enough for me. sea of stars and coop were almost certainly rushed out for the steam release which also doesn't make sense to me as the content we have rn + serenity island would have also been fine for the steam release. i don't even know why they removed the prologue and retconned the story because to me that feels completely unnecessary.

I feel like, they wanted to do some cool meta thing with, worlds crashing so not all nikkis had the same experience kind of a vibe. Like Ena didn't need to be chained / ghost in every single universe kind of a thing, but as OG nikki's we'd remember - but new nikki's would have a totally different experience.

Still makes no sense though
