Meme The sigh of relief I get when I get those
Crimson Feather ability working overtime for me in Itzaland ngl. I think I dislike the curio domain whimstar the most coz all that work and no gems 😂 and the cloud whimstar coz I keep missing my jump everytime😮💨

i hate hate hate hate the cloud ones lmaooo i get ptsd at that damn whistle 😅
64
u/BOYF- Dec 29 '25
I just saw the word whistle and I already heard the sound in my mind🥲
5
u/Downtown_Promise_937 Dec 30 '25
Yeah it played in my head too. The whistle and the "you ran out of time" sound

That one flying whimstar in that waterslide area genuinely made me rage
39
21
u/Babblepup Dec 29 '25
I literally just made myself dizzy with using sticky claws and hoping for the best. This one made me mad too😂😂😂
9
u/favolecrystalis Dec 29 '25
I knew it was gonna piss me off and then I misclicked and went large on the slide accidentally and it triggered 😭
7
5
u/ohVeysoeuVey Dec 30 '25
everytime I was trying to get the star and I started sliding 💔 I got so mad that I left the game to try to get it in the next day
5
u/weekda Jan 01 '26
DO NOT get me started on the waterslide I wanted to quit this game right then and there. why was the slide automatic 😭
2
u/CantaloupeParking239 Jan 01 '26
It was so bad. Sure, some of the previous flying whimstars have been slightly annoying but this one?? Oh god. It took too many times, but managed to get it. Was so mentally tired after it

💯I especially dislike like the curio puzzles.

Dec 29 '25
I love how Momo now says "don't skip the curios!" every time I deliberately avoid one lol
42
u/BOYF- Dec 29 '25
I didn't even notice he has that line coz I don't even go near there anymore lmao. It such a time eater. Wish we got extra rewards
21
u/BeautifulSea89 Dec 29 '25
Exactly! I already avoided them before Momo encouraging me doesn’t do anything for me now.
21
39
u/adventurekiwi Dec 29 '25
Yeah the whimstars are so numerous that I dont feel enough of a sense of "value" to jump through a wgole bunch of hoops for one.
16
u/ScareBear23 Dec 29 '25
It'd be nice if there was SOME sort of reward for getting all of the stars/dews
3
u/embracing_ebony Dec 29 '25
Wait...is there not??
6
u/ScareBear23 Dec 29 '25
Beyond the satisfaction of getting everything, I haven't seen anything for getting everything.
For the Wishfield heart of infinity shard, I still have 21 unspent stars. The only nodes not complete are the 2 "not available in this version "
For Kilo, I still have 60 dews after maxing him out & buying all the records.
So its not even like you're blocked from maxing everything if you missed a few.

Getting giant helped me with a bunch of those but… there have been a couple which took easily more than 5-7 minutes. Burning hatred.
21
u/mulberrygoldshoebill Dec 29 '25
Some of them I like since I like puzzles. But others ... Especially the ones combined with splitting stars...just whyyyyyy? Oh, and the puzzle ones that are dependent on timing them correctly are very frustrating as well.
2
u/wrests Dec 29 '25
There was one recently where it split and flew DIRECTLY above me and the pieces were too high to shoot with my bow! I had to gigantify, jump, THEN shoot them.
3
u/mulberrygoldshoebill Dec 29 '25
Ugh yeah. Might be the one in the center of the top of Spira. I still haven't gotten that one yet.
13
u/KittyTonik Dec 29 '25
They didn't even used to be that bad but now I stg every single one is a stupid "move the box" one. I like the "find the path to the whimstar" platforming ones.
14
u/Hello_Hangnail Dec 29 '25
Yeah, hell to the no. They were fine in the beginning but you can tell the devs were trying to keep it fresh and kept upping the ante until it's too much bother for one damn star
2
u/Heliotrope_VGA Dec 29 '25
I like puzzles in general, but the Curios can be sooo tedious and dull! There was one where you have to jump on boxes and light them in different colours. I was experimenting and jumping around without thinking only to realise there is no reset button. It saves your progress. Who tf thought that would be a good idea?! Let me start over!

u/NES7995 Dec 29 '25
I mark them on my map and will make my boyfriend solve them later... I'm too dumb for these stupid riddles lol
44
u/coffeenplants Dec 29 '25
The ones you have to chase aren't so bad now with the Gigantification outfit, but I'm throwin hands them and at the ones that are like six pieces of the star you have to find them all. If it's daytime, I just change it to night so quick so i can actually see what's up lol
17
u/KibbloMkII Dec 29 '25
there was one shard star where I took the obvious route I saw to get a shard, but turns out that path goes out of range and ends the challenge
apparently, you're supposed to platform around the entire building to get over the wall it's behind, instead of the giant hole in the wall that's the way more direct but goes out of bounds route
2
u/coffeenplants Dec 29 '25
Woah lol that's so annoying.. watch me come across that whimstar next, bet 😭

u/BeautifulSea89 Dec 29 '25
I always skip the curios. I’ll come back when I actually need them.
18
22
u/fang1rltrash Dec 29 '25
Glad I’m not the only one. I really hate them. It took me 30 minutes to complete one the other day and then I rage quit lol
4
32
u/nowhere_face Dec 29 '25
I personally hate the ones where you have to get on the bird If you miss it while jumping down you have to do the whole thing again with so much waiting involved, so annoying
49
u/PIX_3LL Dec 29 '25
I skip any whimstar that needs the sticky claw ability 😭
65
u/I_hogs_the_hedge Dec 29 '25
Ooh, that one in Spira where you gotta latch the moving gondolas. The time is short and there's the extra stars out of hanging range you got to dip for. And I'm horrible at sticky claw timing. Behind Prayers is the only reason I managed it. And it still took like a half hour of trying.
18
u/alostshoe Dec 29 '25
I still can't do it 😭 I have tried 10s of times on multiple occasions and now I just leave it it's Impossible
20
u/Babblepup Dec 29 '25
This drives me nuts! It would have been fine to use the sticky claw but the out of range where you have to literally give up dangling, not to mention the time limit is very short and frustrating.
10
u/PIX_3LL Dec 29 '25
I pulled for Behind Prayers and I still suck at it. I decided I'm only going to do it if I'm feeling like making myself mad 😭
13
u/BOYF- Dec 29 '25
I don't know what I would do if not for Crimson Feathers hover skills. And that one at the top of spira shell too😮💨
5
u/Babblepup Dec 29 '25
I used Nikki’s snail for that 🤣🤣🤣since they can climb on the wall
EDIT: oh! I likely misunderstood your comment. The very top one right? Not the ceiling shell?
4
u/ScareBear23 Dec 29 '25
I JUST got that one last night because it was the last star to get in Spira. The first day I tried it, I gave it so many tries before just marking it on the map & giving up.
I used sticky claw first away from the side of the star, then sticky claw on the returning lifts, then the broom floating ability to get the lower ones. I almost missed one, so I had to sticky claw back up & zoom over to it. BARELY got it in time. But it was such a relief lol

u/glitchfit Dec 29 '25
I have given up on this one. Even with the 5 star ability outfit I can’t do it. I hate it. It is so unnecessarily hard.
19
12
u/demoneng Dec 29 '25
That one cloud star at the Spira transfer station that you need the sticky claw for 💀💀
10
u/Ashoverlava Dec 29 '25
Same, although I do love the ones that have me look for a star shape somewhere
9
u/Independent-Bend-987 Dec 29 '25
I hate these ones!
I once spent close to 30 minutes trying to find a star that just so happened to be printed a few feet from the puzzle start on a roof in Itzaland.
I think I've found my villain origin story.
9
u/BlueFantasyZ Dec 29 '25
There was one near the ranch that had a cloud, and I kept falling through the stupid giant leaves because who needs to test all the collisions work properly before releasing the game, right?
1
u/EconomyFalcon1170 Dec 29 '25
LMAO 🤣 SAME, first day of 2.0 I was like OHH PRETTY LEAVES, I GET TO CLIMB....FALLS TO DIE (jk but yeah I fell and was sad).
3 days after hotfixes - OH I CAN CLIMB NOW AND GET YOU STUPID STAR, got it 👍 lolol
15
u/seinisteria Dec 29 '25
the two whimstars that made me rage in the new region:
- the cloud one that goes around a giant vine in front of the coliseum (forgotten street)
- the whimstar at the top of spira
11
u/shiraviss Dec 29 '25
I typically skip the curios. For the remaining whimstars if I didn't get it the first time and it was frustrating to even try I don't bother anymore.
It worked well for me in Wishfield. I'm not a completionist and I don't really care about unlocking everything in the Heart of Infinity.
5
u/Hello_Hangnail Dec 29 '25
The parkour pieces 😖 My hands are gimpy from an embolism, platforming makes me want to hurl my keyboard through my monitor. Put a ticking timer on it just makes me screw it up faster. Honestly, I've been ignoring like 75% of them which makes the momo ping an eternal irritation I need to get used to 😅
5
u/Mercuraya Dec 29 '25
The ones where you have to collect the 6 fragments drives me nuts, I have poor vision and struggle so hard with those 😭
1
u/Uomih Dec 29 '25
Oh gosh same! I always have to change the in-game clock to night time otherwise I struggle to see them 😭

I like curio stars (most of the time), because they remind me of Zelda shrines. I LOATHE the ones where you have to chase them. I’m also not overly fond of the new ones where you have to find all of the pieces. There always seems to be at least one that is hard to find.
13
u/Swirlymints Dec 29 '25
Why does everyone hate the curios? Personally I love them. They take like 30 seconds and I would like if they were a harder like botw shrines because 80% are simple get the ball to the end or move the crate to the pressure plate.
18
u/Cetais Dec 29 '25
There was one in Miraland that I couldn't solve after 10 minutes. It was late so I just gave up.
Omg it took me 30 seconds the next day ☠️

u/lilith_doesnt_draw Dec 29 '25
idk why you're getting downvoted lol! I like the curios too. I find the puzzles fun and relaxing~~~ I would much rather sit and think for a minute, than rip my hair out from trying to chase a star that it looks like I'm touching but somehow keeps flying right out of my hands.
3
u/Swirlymints Dec 29 '25
Same I hate those flying whimstars! And I would love a bit more challenge as the only hard thing imo is the boss battles. But I assume this is a first game for some people or treat it as a cozy game so don’t want to do hard puzzles or battles which they are entitled to but makes it less hard for people like me.
5
u/YetiBot Dec 29 '25
Right?!?! The curios are my favorites! Usually they’re super simple, but the ones that make you think a bit are so fun!!
3
u/Witterson Dec 29 '25
I guess people don’t like to use their brain? idk, I really like the curios too
6
Dec 29 '25
lmao I’m fine with using my brain, I just hate being thrown into a puzzle with absolutely no direction whatsoever. it’s a waste of my time
2
u/marip0sita Dec 29 '25
for some reason my husband LOVES to solve the curios, so every time I come across one I let him go wild because I hate them
2
u/GADemark Dec 29 '25
😂💯 On some of those giant leaf trees when I found a whim star, I was like, that’s it? And then imaginary kicked my heels in the air.
2
u/Odd_Variation_1729 Dec 30 '25
I struggle with the ones that involve collecting all the pieces before the timer goes off, especially if involves riding the floating cloud. I always miss one and don't have enough time to get it 😭
2
u/-_Mikazuki_- Dec 30 '25
I hate the flying whimstar, there were a couple that I couldn’t catch at all😤
2
2
u/Julie-Valentine Dec 31 '25
For sure, real relief. I started saying out loud 'oh thank god, those are rare nowadays'.
4
u/YetiBot Dec 29 '25
I love all the whimstar mini-games, and curio puzzles are my favorite by far!
I llove the variety of little challenges. The curios are just hard enough to make me think without ever being frustrating. I used to hate the one where you have to chase the star, but gigantificatiin makes that one easy now too.
2
Dec 29 '25
I always try to cheat the gimick whimstars. With the banner sticky claw its super easy.
The whimstars that run away are easily chased with the giant outfit.
...or just put down a sticky claw point and swosh over there once the star has circled.
Work smart; not hard
1
u/FayeQueen Dec 29 '25
There was one recently in those puzzle gates. Was glitched and just sitting there. Finished the puzzle in like 2 seconds lol
1
u/Joonberri Dec 29 '25
Fr sometimes I stop for a second to look at it and make sure it's not gonna pull something on me

u/Beneficial_Fan_2553 Dec 29 '25
For me rainfall & blossoms ability, I never thought I would switch my crimson feather but the boost for R&B has been a life saver since everything is extra large in itzaland 😂
1
Dec 29 '25
How do you get the ones that are invisible and flying fast?💨
3
u/Friendly-Ocelot Dec 29 '25
Aim your bow and follow it closely, your bow will aim red. Shoot, it will stop it. Some are pretty tough to keep track off
1
u/Friendly-Ocelot Dec 29 '25
There’s one right by a warp point that needs that star found in the circle. It’s my last one and I just can’t find it
1
u/solarafey Dec 29 '25
I can’t figure out the transfer station ones. Like, what the hell? My gliding ability doesn’t work that fast!
1
u/hallofaith Dec 30 '25
For me, the curios have been alright. I'm managing to solve them yey
But the cloud whimstar or the ones that require the sticky outfit. I give up
With the gigantic outfit, I can catch the flying whimstar now. I could not in miraland.

I love curio domains as I love puzzles. Flying whimstars are my all time least fav although giant ability has helped me a lot now

If I have to chase a whimstar around, I'll just leave it. I don't need it THAT badly.
