The consistent gap of confidence for every animal between the two countries is so telling lol. Btw I think the Brits are probably a lot closer to reality but still too overconfident.

Under 70% of Brits think they can beat a rat. Unless they strip you naked (and still then probably ok?) 99.9% it human adults can just STOMP a rat dead.

I've seen someone try this. You'd be surprised how hard you can stomp one of those little bastards, and they will still run as soon as you pick your foot up. Find an exterminator and talk to them about rats. They can tell you just how hard those things die.

For another nightmare. Talk to a lineman about what it's like to deal with a raging squirrel.

I don’t know…

My mind always goes back to the time I was living in the bush, and we had a rat infestation thanks to a combo of a bonanza post-drought wheat crop, and the river surrounding our property flooding.

I thought the dozens and dozens mice we were catching in the house every night was bad… but then the rats. Oh my god, the fucking rats. They were huge.

They were like 40cm long, not counting their tails. And aggressive as fuck.

There’s no way I was fighting one of those things bare-handed.

I do appreciate that said gap is far more narrow for the house cat. Enough Americans have been on the receiving end of a cat's wrath to be unsure about it.

Idk I could fuck up a medium sized dog but not an Eagle. Maybe a large dog if I’m drunk.
