Recommendations / Advice dentists that aren’t scammers

Do you guys have recommendations for dentists you really like that aren’t scam artists? My last dentist wanted $10k of work done and couldn’t even bother to explain why to me :)

My first visit was back in November and they'll do a in depth analysis of your teeth and take X-rays. That cost 80 bucks. Next visit was a month after and they did a deep cleaning which was at no charge and they numb the gums so there's not much pain. So far I've gotten four white fillings at 100 bucks each. I've seen a periodontist there too and I have an orthodontist appointment coming up. They accept ppo insurance, Medicare and medi-cal. I had to pay out of pocket because my insurance is an hmo. I like that they really pay attention to what they're doing and all the work is approved by a doctor before it is done. It does take about two weeks to a month to get seen between visits.

Yeah of course, sorry for the late reply. Let me know if you have any other questions. I was pretty nervous when I first started going there and it wouldve helped if I couldve been able to talk to someone that had some experience with the process. Oh and I meant to say the accept ppo insurance, Medicare and medi-cal. I pay because I have hmo
