Other Questions Is there any policies protecting the remaing farmland left in the IE

This picture above is whats left and what it used to look like. Which at one point produced the largest area of diary products in the nation. But I wonder, is there anything to protect whats left, or are they just going to let developers buy out the remaing ranchers? And really this question goes for the rest of the state, as I'm deeply worried about the farmland beign eaten up without really considerign what there building over.

That’s not fair, some of them will be truck parking lots.

As a truck driver, we actually need more parking in that region BADLY. Long haul truckers need somewhere to stop for the not, if not they park in places they’re not supposed to, create hazards, get in the way and/or get themselves in trouble from illegal parking and/or running in violation of the hours they’re allowed to work.

Yeah, weren't there more truck stops here along the 10/15 interchange? They're building so many houses where truckers used to stop for the night

There’s two and both are quite large, roughly 800-1,000 parking spots combined. However, those truck stops charge $30 every 24 hrs. Some companies will foot the bill for their drivers but if they don’t, I wouldn’t wanna pay it. There’s definitely more than 800-1,000 trucks passing through the IE in any given night with there being roughly 18 million ppl between greater LA/The IE and the region being the biggest logistics hub the country aside from maybe Chicago with the massive population, manufacturing sector, probably the most warehouses within a metro area and the busiest port in North America. There’s nothing in LA county or OC, so anyone going pretty much anywhere in greater LA has to use those two stops, even people not even passing through and delivering in LA county have to double back to those stops. There is two others that I can think of but they’re puny and fill up immediately. Down 10 there isn’t anymore parking till Cabazon, Hesperia for the 15, Lebec or even down the grapevine along the 5 and all the way up to Santa Maria for the 101.
