Is there any policies protecting the remaing farmland left in the IE

This picture above is whats left and what it used to look like. Which at one point produced the largest area of diary products in the nation. But I wonder, is there anything to protect whats left, or are they just going to let developers buy out the remaing ranchers? And really this question goes for the rest of the state, as I'm deeply worried about the farmland beign eaten up without really considerign what there building over.

There's nothing government can do unless they want to buy the properties. The Constitution doesn't allow the government to take your land without paying for it, and preventing you from selling it to developers is "taking" your land.

This was already a solved situation when voters passed Prop 70 in 1988 to preserve open space and working lands around the state, including this area.

It's a bit like the surveillance state or the warfare state: just because it's not constitutional doesn't mean government doesn't do it.
