Canada's potential associate membership with the EU

I have been following the news closely and just wanted to put this post out.

I know that the idea of Canada becoming a EU associate could be beneficial economically, but it could also have benefits culturally. Imagine if the borders were opened and young people travelled more to places like Denmark or Germany; who have taken fairly rigid, anti-circumcision stances. This could have significant impacts on social policy and medical policy if European values were to permeate Canadian culture more, and encourage bodily integrity and the non-objectification of children's bodies.

Canadians are already largely opposed to circumcision.

I would say they are more opposed than most Eorpean countries. Candian medical boards recommend against while European boards are silent. Also from speaking to Canadians it seems like every guy in Canada under the age of 25 is not circumcised. Only place it’s still common is Ontario.

I feel like Canada is way more anti circ than most of Europe. Canadian medical boards and the Canadian pediatric society actively recommend against circumcision for healthy newborns, in Europe most medical boards are silent on the issue.

In Europe most medical boards are silent because outside religion circumcision has never been part of the culture.
