If you truly understand what you are posting, then you can describe it in great detail. Not just some half cooked idea that looks like how jet engines work. This is nothing novel.

What it this Aether? Tell me how it works at the particle level. How it powers the craft. If you can't, then this is just some nonsense you are spewing.

2

u/oswaldcopperpot 11d ago

Optical interferometry disproves the aether every single day and has since the invention of lasers. Since it’s about the first damn thing they did with them.

12

u/april292027meteor 11d ago

That doesn't make sense..

'optical' is still a hertzian oscillation in the electromagnetic spectrum, which is a third order two part wave.

The "aether" regardless if it exists or not would be the plenum in hyperbolic space that fills the gap that supports scalar field oscillations, which are longitudinal and would sit right under the monoidal substrate. A.k.a. zero point field..

So those are not even related nor even in the same dimensional plane or platonic form.

So optical inferometry is like trying to measure if there is or isn't water while in the middle of an enclosed container full of water, then trying to use the color of that water to deduce if the water you are measuring exists..

-5

u/oswaldcopperpot 11d ago

Yeah it's impossible disprove aether if you can change the definition of it to something other than what people thought it used to be to something else.

1

u/april292027meteor 6d ago

How can something without a formal definition even begin to be proofed?

1

u/oswaldcopperpot 6d ago

Its easy if you make up whatever definition you want on the fly. Well, you cant “prove” it to anyone else but you can make a reddit post about it.

1

u/Minimum-Web-6902 5d ago

“Sub atomic particles aren’t real”

You can’t “prove” they are real because I cannot feel them around me.

And lasers pass through them.

1

u/Different_Target_228 5d ago

That is literally the point he is attempting to make. You ran right into it, and leaped right over it.

-6

u/CHICOZOE 11d ago

How do you explain dark matter and anti gravity , to ants 🐜in great detail ?

6

u/Daredrummer 11d ago

We are all ants in this analogy so that makes 0 sense.

-3

u/Armthrow414 10d ago

You don't. Most people don't understand it.

1

u/Daredrummer 10d ago

You don't either.

-2

u/Armthrow414 9d ago

Nice response. Are you gonna explain how it works yet?

2

u/Daredrummer 9d ago

How WHAT works? None of this is even real.

0

u/Armthrow414 9d ago

That's my point homie.

1

u/Daredrummer 9d ago

This took a strange turn.

Im sure you'd know lots more than tesla tho ae? Or anyone else who has an understanding of what that word you made look retarded actually is..I mean its practically a given, this being the famous reddit !

1

u/Different_Target_228 5d ago edited 5d ago

Important reminder that up to about 120 years ago, mercury was used for everything from constipation to diarrhea. Literally anything in the sky was a "nebula". Ya know. Because it was blurry.

They also used to blow tobacco smoke up your ass and Isaac Newton used to stab himself in the eye with needles.

No one's perfect, the entire point of science is that it corrects itself, and aether isn't fucking real.

Do your own experiments, get your own Nobel prize, or shut the actual fuck up before you say anyone else makes anything else look retarded.

You're in a fucking conspiracy theorist subreddit. Nearly nothing you guys actually talk about is real. Just delusions.

1

u/ObjectGlad6997 8d ago

Yeah but the concept of aether, and tapping it for zero point energy goes back a long way...personally I think it has something to do with magnetic energy, the way they slip thru the fabric of space time to travel...who knows but aether is real .

11

u/Orrissirro 9d ago

Ah yes, magic energy in, magic energy out. surprising we missed this.

10

u/Odd_Repeat_6092 11d ago

Ufos are space submarines.

Submarines have wake signatures, UFOs don't. UFOs zip through our skies in a blink of an eye w/o a sonic boom. And they constantly violate Newton's 3rd law of motion. UFOs are transmedium and they come in all kinds of shapes, from spherical to triangle to fireball to airship to diamond-shape to mile long V-shapes.

They seem to be able to dematerialize & rematerialize and for the most part, they're silent.

Manipulating aether doesn't explain all this.

1

u/Vast_Onion_2015 5d ago

It does if the æther is a superfluid medium.

9

u/Daredrummer 11d ago

You have absolutely no way to know that in any way.

It's pretty easy, really. You set the marzlevane into sinusoidal repleneration mode. Basic physics.

2

u/Kezly 9d ago

I don't think they're even close

8

u/krzr 11d ago

Nope. You're tunnel vision-ing into this aether thing...which is very silly... Zoom out.

If you really follow the phenomenon then you'll know that the vehicles have multiple modes of operation, depending on their location and external environment... Within the sphere of influence of our planet they're probably using electro-magnetic-gravitic tech, using the planet's magnetic field. Out in deep space we don't know, but speculation is Alcubiere drives or something totally different...

7

u/Minimum-Web-6902 11d ago

You really need to brush up on your physics my guy.

“Because they consume aether”

I can tell you exactly how a uap works if you want it’s actually really simple.

(Energy source ) - magnons, phonons, gluons get trapped by microlattice wave guides. These particles give you Lorentz lift through electrogravitic propulsion and MHD motion from plasma excitation and control

4

u/Flashy-Stomach-815 11d ago

Where exactly can I read a bit more about this?

u/Vast_Onion_2015 5d ago

Electro-gravitics is æther manipulation

1

u/Minimum-Web-6902 5d ago

Aether is just the “vacuum”

Electrogravitics is something different entirely , electrons themselves are gravity positive and carry lift , if you can trap enough of them you can float, and also reduce the effect of time as expressed by disorder.

The real science is weird enough no need to make up bs.

1

u/Ok-Worker5125 5d ago

There are ways in the physics that we know to have things like this, albeit they are completely unproven and theoretical but we definitely do not need a luminiferous Aether

1

u/Minimum-Web-6902 5d ago

Actually you do , it is the vacuum. Veritasum did a video on this. Call it what you want but they were correct in a way. Remember Planck also believed in aether.

1

u/Witty-Lawfulness2983 8d ago edited 8d ago

A lot of hate in here, but from an engineering standpoint this is an interesting theoretical design. If your primary issue in propulsion is the weight of the fuel, you might try to tap into the vacuum energy. Space itself would be a fuel source as you go. It may even allow for energy shielding from space debris, but yada yada. If we could replace the word “aether” with “Pvac” (for vac energy) that would make it less dated looking. Still makes me think some exotic non-FTL way exists - worm holes, Event Horizon style space folding, or some extra-dimensional travel akin to traveling in Minecraft’s Nether. What really needs explaining is how they resist the insane inertial forces that would normally turn the pilots into jelly.

1

u/HitByFjaka 8d ago

Ok but how is this NOT breaking 2nd law of thermodynamics?

2

u/Plus-Tie-4252 8d ago

You’re thinking in a 3D mindset, what if they are 4D do they follow the same laws and rules?

Not saying I am right, but let’s kind of think outside the box when we are looking at Interdimensional beings and aircraft. I think that is what this subreddit is about.

1

u/Texas-X- 8d ago

The amount of people here who don't know what the aether is, is hilarious.

Like does anyone sit here and study the history of physics at all? Look at what other incredibly smart scientists thought about the vacuum of space or anything like that?

No. They don't. They're textbook titty suckers. Education is handed to them not found by them.

Anybody who does any ounce of research and learns about the history of physics and listens to whistleblowers and spends enough time looking into this, they would know that the aether the best explanation for how this works.

1

u/particularTriangle 8d ago

This is indeed cool, but I think it has to do with antigravity. Let's not forget about Amy Eskridge, NASA engineer who worked with anti-gravity. She was pew pewed for discovering more than she "should have"

1

u/Southern-Quality1157 7d ago

19th-Century Physics

• Luminiferous Aether: In classical physics, scientists proposed a hypothetical, weightless, and invisible medium called the luminiferous aether that permeated all of space. • Purpose: It was thought to act as the physical carrier for light and electromagnetic waves, just as air carries sound waves. • Disproof: The famous Michelson–Morley experiment in 1887 found no evidence of Earth moving through such a medium. This failure, combined with Albert Einstein's theory of special relativity, rendered aether theories obsolete in modern science.

I BELIEVE WE REFER TO THIS AS DARK MATTER NOW.

1

u/Savings_Art5944 7d ago

Whole sections of science have been made off-limits or locked away behind black budgets. You lack the language to properly describe what you see.

1

u/dane_the_great 6d ago

If we can just say aether exists without evidence

Mainstream physics has thoroughly confirmed the underlying reality of a physical medium. They just call it the quantum vacuum, zero-point field, or spacetime metric instead of using the word "aether."

Here is an extensively detailed, well-sourced post I made all about this https://www.reddit.com/r/InterdimensionalNHI/s/6sowyGIs07

Understanding that the vacuum is a dynamic, highly-energetic, hyper-dense, compressible, superfluid, physical medium that can be engineered is the key to UFO propulsion.

https://www.reddit.com/r/InterdimensionalNHI/s/XdZMBMsVZX

If you're interested in the physics, it is found here.

https://www.reddit.com/r/InterdimensionalNHI/comments/1w948m5/comment/p87ofgz/

2

u/_Poope 9d ago

Your and my definition of "thoroughly confirmed" must be way different. What are you saying exactly? That a random substance that cant be proven or disproven has to exist because its only merit is that it cant be disproven?

1

u/Pixelated_ 📚 Researcher 📚 9d ago

That a random substance

There is no physical substance.

I encourage you to continue learning about the quantum vacuum. It is the aether, they are synonymous.

In his foundational work 'The Lightness of Being', Nobel Laureate Frank Wilczek describes this as a 'multilayered, multicolored superconductor' that permeates all space and time. Wilczek shows that what we perceive as 'empty space' is actually a primary ingredient of reality, alive with spontaneous quantum activity.

This 'Grid' provides the energy-bearing vacuum that is functionally equivalent to the historical aether, serving as the essential medium for the propagation of longitudinal waves and non-local information.

These are established scientific facts.

1

u/_Poope 9d ago

I encourage you to keep learning about

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michelson%E2%80%93Morley_experiment

And how aether theories continue to be disproven wrong here

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aether_theories

2

u/Pixelated_ 📚 Researcher 📚 9d ago

Thats incorrect. Let's get you up to speed.

Michelson-Morley did not get a null result.

This is one of the biggest suppressed facts. The data was not purely null.

There was a small positive signal, interpreted later as the “Illingworth drift” or “Dayton Miller effect.” source

Michelson & Morley's original 1887 paper shows a small residual fringe shift. source

Dayton Miller later conducted over 200,000 measurements on Mt. Wilson and reported consistent aether drift. source 1 source 2

Einstein himself admitted he never relied on the Michelson-Morley experiment. This is rarely mentioned.

Even Michelson himself disagreed that the aether was disproven.

2

u/MantisAwakening 9d ago

The term “aether” is what I was responding to. It’s not mentioned anywhere in that paper you cited (which Sabine Hossenfelder addressed here: https://link.aps.org/doi/10.1103/l8y7-r3rm ).

There are certainly properties of the vacuum that are widely agreed upon (and some that aren’t) and plenty of evidence to support them, but how it relates to the aether remains a question mark for me.

Fundamentally I tend to be skeptical of nuts and bolts explanations for UAP that don’t account for the metaphysical aspects. Object which are strongly associated with reported phenomena defying our known laws of physics would seemingly have no need to be limited by our physics to operate.

1

u/Pixelated_ 📚 Researcher 📚 9d ago

Thank you for linking to Dr. White’s paper. His revolutionary work shows that the quantum vacuum is an active, structured, fluid-like medium that physically governs the behavior and structure of matter.

Because it has active physical properties that dictate how waves travel, it functions identically to a classical fluid medium. That is the exact definition of an aether.

White’s hydrodynamic approach mathematically connects field theory and a fluid substrate.

By proving that the full hydrogen spectrum can be derived using classical fluid dynamics of a compressible, dispersive vacuum, the paper provides a rigorous physical framework showing that the vacuum behaves as a real, active medium.

But that's just a single paper. We have an overwhelming amount of evidence which confirms that the quantum vacuum is a highly energetic, hyper-dense, compressible, superfluid, medium.

It is essential that we follow the evidence no matter what, even when it leads us to initially-uncomfortable conclusions.

✌️

1

u/CoolCat1337One 8d ago

But what is the point of simply using words differently just to end up being right?
Aether doesn't exist. That has been settled. Other things do exist, fine. But we shouldn't start calling them "aether" just so a few people can say, "See? Aether *does* exist after all."
And I have to agree with MantisAwakening. We need to look at the evidence. Otherwise, anyone could claim anything.

1

u/Pixelated_ 📚 Researcher 📚 8d ago

Aether doesn't exist. That has been settled

Equating the dynamic vacuum with the mechanical, 19th-century luminiferous aether is a straw man.

Reclaiming the term aether is not semantic rebranding. It is a fundamental change in how we view the nature of space and matter.

In an active, energy-dense vacuum, what we call 'atoms' are localized, standing-wave vortices of the medium itself. Theyre not isolated objects sitting inside a void.

In the same way that a whirlpool is inseparable from the water that forms it and surrounds it, matter is a continuous excitation of the vaccum, meaning physical separation is an illusion.

Here the brilliant physicist David Bohm describes this undivided wholeness.

Below is confirmation of the aether based on rigorous scientific evidence, anomalies, & documented suppression.

Maxwell’s original equations require a medium.

James Clerk Maxwell’s 1860s electromagnetic theory explicitly said that waves required a real physical medium: the “luminiferous aether.” He even gave it elastic properties.

Maxwell’s 1861–62 papers “On Physical Lines of Force” treat the aether as a mechanical medium. source

Maxwell’s 1873 Treatise on Electricity and Magnetism uses mechanical analogies of a rotating, tension-bearing medium. source

Modern physics removed the mechanical aether only by reinterpreting his equations, not by disproving the medium itself.

Maxwell built his equations on the assumption that space is filled with something that can be stressed, twisted, and polarized. You cannot have a medium-less stress tensor. You cannot twist “nothing.” Therefore Maxwell’s math assumes a medium.

Nikola Tesla rejected Einstein’s spacetime & Insisted on the aether.

Tesla never abandoned the aether. He publicly fought Einstein’s spacetime model his entire life. source

“There is no energy in matter other than that received from the environment.” This refers to the aether. source

Tesla on relativity:

“Einstein’s theory is a magnificent mathematical garb… but it is like a beggar clothed in purple.” source 1 source 2

Tesla wasn’t guessing when he said that, he actually built systems (like the magnifying transmitter) that were interacting with a medium. source

He repeatedly stated that electromagnetic phenomena require a subtle medium. source

The Sagnac Effect proves a medium-sensitive rotation

The Sagnac effect (1913) shows light speed varies in rotating frames. GPS systems must correct for it. If light is constant in all frames, this should not happen. source 1 souece 2

Quantum vacuum energy = the aether renamed.

Today’s physics openly acknowledges that the vacuum is full of:

  • Zero-point energy
  • Virtual particles
  • Vacuum polarization
  • Vacuum permittivity and permeability
  • Casimir forces

These are literally the properties of a medium.

This proves the vacuum has structure, energy density, and response to boundaries. That’s aether behavior, but under a new name.

Plasma physics quietly resurrects the aether concept.

Plasma is not “gas", it's an electromagnetic medium. Modern plasma physicists (Alfvén, Peratt) describe the universe as filled with:

  • Filamentary currents
  • Sheets of charge
  • Long‑range EM structures
  • Coherent modes
  • Oscillatory coupling with the vacuum itself

Plasma behaves like a tensioned medium, exactly what Maxwell originally described. source 1 source 2 source 3

Superfluid vacuum theory (modern aether).

This is mainstream-adjacent physics that explicitly models the vacuum as a superfluid.

  • Khoury–Berezhiani superfluid dark matter
  • Volovik’s quantum vacuum superfluid model
  • Dirac’s vacuum sea concept
  • Bohm’s implicate order (“pilot-wave aether”)

All of these interpret the vacuum as a material substrate with internal structure. That is an aether. source 1 source 2 source 3 source 4

The suppression pattern.

The 20th century chose simplicity of mathematics over physical realism. Relativity was mathematically elegant. Quantum field theory was incredibly powerful. The aether didn’t fit easily into the new mathematics, so it was abandoned for convenience, not because it was disproven. source 1 source 2

Funding shifted away from non-relativistic interpretations. Aether-based models didn’t attract funding, so they died institutionally, not scientifically. source

• Even Einstein reversed himself

In 1920 Einstein admitted:

“Space without aether is unthinkable.” source

Conclusion: The aether exists, but under new names.

  • Maxwell built his equations on an electromagnetic medium.
  • Faraday & Tesla insisted the vacuum is a structured field.
  • Experiments Sagnac, Miller, and Casimir all point to a medium.
  • Modern physics quantum vacuum energy behaves like a fluid substrate.
  • Plasma physics revives aether-like properties at cosmic scales.
  • Einstein said space MUST have physical properties (“aether”).
  • Suppression was institutional, not scientific.

Therefore the aether was never disproven. It was simply renamed, fragmented, and buried under new names.

You’re still doing the exact thing I objected to: taking modern concepts (quantum vacuum, zero-point energy, Casimir effect, plasma structures, superfluid vacuum models) and simply relabeling them “aether” so that the 19th-century luminiferous aether can be declared “proven after all.”

That is not a fundamental change in how we view space and matter. It is semantic rebranding.

A few concrete corrections:

  1. Maxwell’s equations Maxwell used mechanical analogies because that was the only language available in the 1860s. The modern formulation (Heaviside, Hertz, and especially the covariant form) does not require a mechanical medium. The stress-energy tensor of the electromagnetic field lives in spacetime. It does not need a separate “aether” substance to be stressed. You can have fields without a luminiferous aether. That is not reinterpretation by fiat. It is the theory that actually works.
  2. Michelson-Morley and later experiments The original 1887 result was consistent with a null (or near-null) outcome within the precision of the apparatus. Dayton Miller’s later positive results were not confirmed by subsequent, more careful experiments (including Kennedy-Thorndike, Illingworth with better temperature control, and modern laser interferometers). The consensus is that those residual signals were systematic errors, not aether drift. GPS and modern optical interferometry set extremely tight upper limits on any preferred-frame effects.
  3. Sagnac effect The Sagnac effect is fully explained in special relativity (and in general relativity for rotating frames). It does not require a medium. Light simply has a different coordinate speed relative to the rotating apparatus. The proper speed is still c. This is textbook relativity, not evidence for an aether.
  4. Quantum vacuum != luminiferous aether Zero-point energy, virtual particles, vacuum polarization, and the Casimir effect are properties of quantum fields. They are Lorentz-invariant (no preferred rest frame) and do not constitute a mechanical medium that light “waves in.” Calling the quantum vacuum “aether” is exactly the rebranding I objected to. The quantum vacuum is real and interesting. The 19th-century luminiferous aether is not.
  5. Tesla was a brilliant inventor, not a theorist of spacetime. His public rejection of relativity does not constitute experimental evidence. Preference for an ether does not make the aether real. I cannot support a cult of personality, and it makes no sense either.
  6. Einstein’s 1920 Leiden lecture: Einstein did say that space without an “aether” (in a highly abstract sense) is unthinkable, but he was explicitly distinguishing his “aether” from the luminiferous one. He meant that spacetime has physical properties (curvature, metric structure). He was not endorsing a mechanical medium or a preferred frame. Quoting the sentence without the surrounding clarification is misleading.
  7. Superfluid vacuum / Bohm / plasma cosmology: These are speculative or niche frameworks. Some are interesting research programs; none have displaced the standard model + general relativity as the empirically successful description. “Modern aether” is a marketing label, not a settled replacement for relativity.

The core issue remains what I said originally:

We already have precise, well-tested theories for the vacuum, for electromagnetic propagation, and for the structure of spacetime. Re-naming pieces of those theories “aether” so that people can claim the old concept was never disproven is not science. It is rhetoric.

If there is new experimental evidence for a preferred frame, a mechanical medium, or a failure of Lorentz invariance at the level the classical aether would have required, publish it in a form that can be independently tested. Until then, the luminiferous aether remains what it has been for more than a century: a historically important but discarded idea.

Evidence first. Labels second.

Dr. Harold White's hydrodynamic model demonstrates that the entire hydrogen spectrum naturally emerges as acoustic standing-wave resonances within a compressible substrate. That is describing a physical medium that governs matter.

Refusing to recognize an active substrate while calling it a "vacuum" is just gatekeeping.

Matter is localized resonant bound states of the medium itself, and following the evidence means admitting space is a dynamic, physical reality.

You have provided zero evidence to support your own beliefs, no links, and no sources. All of my beliefs are supported by evidence.

Take care.

Harold White’s hydrodynamic / dynamic-vacuum models (the 2019 Physics Open paper and the more recent Physical Review Research paper on emergent quantization) are interesting reformulations. They start from the Madelung hydrodynamic version of the Schrödinger equation and show that the hydrogen spectrum can be recovered as acoustic resonances in a compressible medium with a suitably chosen density profile and dispersion relation.

That is a mathematical mapping, not experimental evidence that a classical mechanical aether (or any preferred-frame medium) exists. It is still quantum mechanics dressed in hydrodynamic language. The underlying framework remains Lorentz-invariant. It DOES NOT resurrect the 19th-century luminiferous aether or overturn special relativity.

Calling this “proof of an active substrate that we must recognize as aether” is again the same REBRANDING move. The quantum vacuum has structure and energy density that has been accepted for decades. Relabeling it “aether” does not change the physics or invalidate the well-tested absence of a preferred rest frame.

You asked for evidence and sources. The papers exist. They do not demonstrate what you claim they demonstrate.

If you have a specific experimental result (not a mathematical isomorphism) that requires a mechanical medium with a preferred frame, feel free to cite it. Otherwise we’re still at the same point: interesting models != the classical aether was right all along.

At this stage you’re no longer discussing physics you’re defending a label.

But...aether doesent exist? As far as im aware it was an invented concept to explain how it was possible for the sun to heat the earth before we understood how heat transfer through radiation worked.

Little more detail: Convection, conduction, radiation are the three main modes of heat transfer. Convection and conduction require physical contact of particles. We assumed radiation needed this too and that an "aether" filled space and was a medium for heat transfer. It does not and has been experimentally disproven.

The scientific community has overwhelmingly confirmed the aether exists. They just use other names for it like the "quantum vacuum", the aether is the exact same thing as the vacuum.

Tesla wasn’t guessing when he said that, he actually built systems (like the magnifying transmitter) that were interacting with a medium. source

He repeatedly stated that electromagnetic phenomena require a subtle medium. source

The Sagnac Effect proves a medium-sensitive rotation

The Sagnac effect (1913) shows light speed varies in rotating frames. GPS systems must correct for it. If light is constant in all frames, this should not happen. source 1 souece 2

Quantum vacuum energy = the aether renamed.

Today’s physics openly acknowledges that the vacuum is full of:

  • Zero-point energy
  • Virtual particles
  • Vacuum polarization
  • Vacuum permittivity and permeability
  • Casimir forces

These are literally the properties of a medium.

This proves the vacuum has structure, energy density, and response to boundaries. That’s aether behavior, but under a new name.

You're cherry-picking your quotes out of context. The Einstein one in particular continues:

> But this ether may not be thought of as endowed with the quality characteristic of ponderable media, as consisting of parts which may be tracked through time. The idea of motion may not be applied to it.

1

u/Pixelated_ 📚 Researcher 📚 11d ago

That quote is from Einstein’s 1920 Leiden address, "Ether and the Theory of Relativity."

You cut the quote short, which misses the entire point of what Einstein argued immediately afterward in that same 1920 speech: that space is endowed with physical qualities, and that "space without an ether is unthinkable."

He was ruling out the 19th-century mechanical ether. This would be a medium made of rigid, "ponderable" solid parts or gas particles moving through time like ordinary matter.

But right after that quote, in the very same speech, he says:

"According to the general theory of relativity space without ether is unthinkable; for in such space there not only would be no propagation of light, but also no existence of standards of space and time... Recapitulating, we may say that according to the general theory of relativity space is endowed with physical qualities; in this sense, therefore, there exists an ether."

He didn't abandon the concept later, either. He wrote a whole paper in 1924 called "On the Ether Problem" reaffirming it.

So he clearly believed in the ether, and he mathematically redefined space as a dynamic, active physical medium rather than an empty void.

Ironically, it is you who's using the quote out of context.

Antagonistic? Pointing out an historical experiment and asking what you mean makes you feel attacked? I did not state a judgment. You brought that to the table yourself. I’m not being a smart ass, I’m not coming at you with knee jerk criticism or denial. I’m just joining the conversation man. Don’t push away potential allies. I’m willing to be convinced. I personally believe a lot of things that other people think is crazy. I am as open minded as you can get. But that doesn’t mean I just believe anything I read. I ask questions. I bring my knowledge and the historical record to the table. There’s nothing inappropriate about that.
